First serious WTF moment with UPS

    So I had a box due in today. I was working about 10 feet from the entry way to my house with the front inside door open. I get a notification from UPS that a package I was expecting had been deliverd. I stand up, walk 5 steps to the door, step out onto the porch, and nothing. Looked everywhere it could be. Meanwhile, he must have made some stops at other houses in my cul-de-sac, because I took a walk around to see if it was mistakenly dropped elsewhere. Nothing. So I immediate got on the horn with UPS, and they contact the driver. He just came back and told me he placed it just where he places everything else he delivers to me. On the hose reel box. I even lifted the lid to check inside the box for some reason. So...how in the world did this box vanish from my porch, LITERALLY in the minute and a half or so between when I got an email stating delivery had been made, and the time at which the email said the delivery actually occurred? I mean...it's just crazy. I've read a lot of stories on here about shit going awry, but this is bizarre.

    Horrible. I once had a driver walk up to my door, slap a 1st notice on it without knocking on my door and then walk away. I was sitting in front of the window.

    I was waiting for him outside the next day, then I had a chat with this manager. I gave him a beer and everything was well taken care of after that.

    Hope it all comes together man.

    UPS driver is balling in BA Abraxas or Vanilla right now.

    Seriously, I've had this happen and the box was delivered a block from my house. Good luck.

    Has this happen last week. Box was delivered about 2-3 blocks away and somebody called me and I got the box. Good luck. It's gotta be annoying not knowing where your box is

    When this happened to me last week I took it as a loss but my sender said he'd file a claim and not to send until I get my beer. I'd assume its the receiving parties responsibility though.
