I love drinking beer. I really do, but is there anything better than sharing beer with/giving beer to people who are completely not expecting it? I love spreading smiles...gifted out some fresh as hell Zombie Dust today to people in Maine who I knew would appreciate it. I'd love to hear similar stories, as I believe that this is what advocacy is all about.

Just completed my first BA trade today (the package I sent arrived today) and although I didn't have many extras to give I gave some of the best singles I had. I LOVE giving stuff away.

Several of my fiends and I went to a KBS tapping recently and I knew most of them had never had any world class stouts before so I invited them over for a quick tasting.

That's awesome. You truly gave. You didn't trade. Kudos for making your passion a means of giving and sharing to enrich others lives.

I sent a 4 pack of Heady to my nephew in Chicago. We don't trade, it was just a gift for no reason other than for him to try the top rated beer.

I kicked another ba an extra for picking some bottles up for me at a brewery only release. He had another ba with him, and a few months after we met up and made good on that deal I get a bm saying, hey you got a package from ba #2 sitting at my place. That ba had moved to the east coast and sent me a 4x of heady and some flower power. I changed their names for anonymity...

Randomly sent my buddy fresh NN couple months ago. I think I was more excited :-)

Several of my regular trading partners have dropped unexpected boxes on me containing things such as Abyss, White Chocolate, and Bourbon Barrel Plead the 5th. These dudes are awesome.

With my beer cellar in its infancy stages, I don't have much to give away and I struggle to include trade extras, but I certainly hope to build mutually beneficial relationships with people on here so we can all enjoy what our regions have to offer.

Sometimes half the battle is finding someone to drink with that appreciates beer enough to know what you're giving them. I'm not into trades really (mostly due to financial purposes), but it would be nice if I had more local friends that were beer nerds.

I love sharing my beer. If I have something I really like, it just makes me want to share it more with someone, and I often will end up sharing with friends who are not nearly as into beer as I am just to do so (this has gotten one friend significantly more interested in craft beer since I met him).
Also, this winter I found a big display of BCBS in a store in my hometown in CT so I took it upon myself to buy an extra four pack for a friend of mine that I was staying with for a weekend.

I love sharing too. Haven't done any trades since there isn't much around here that I think people would be willing to trade for, but every thing that I pick up in my travels usually ends up being shared with those that appreciate it. Always willing to share with those who are as interested in it as I am. Hopefully I can work out some trades around the country for things we don't get here.

People should just send you stuff just because your user name is Mr. Wizard. Best show ever.

yamar68 has been very generous to me...gave me my first taste of cantillon, hunahpu's, kbs, and many more, which in result turned me into an addict.

An acquaintance sent me the bottle in my profile pic along with some other RR beers. It was a total surprise, and I really felt like a kid at Christmas. I was overwhelmed at the random kindness. It was great fun to return the favor.

A few months back I made the trip up to the Alchemist to stock up. I sent one friend 12 toppers and 4 to another. No reason at all. They didn't know I was going and obviously didn't ask for any. I'm putting another surprise package together containing all 3 BA Framinghammer variants, probably a BCBS, Sucaba, and Parabola (if it ever arrives in MA and assuming I can get a few).

As much as I enjoy drinking beer (and I definitely do!) I also enjoy it when friends validate me and tell me how good something is that I've been telling them about

I don't trade (there's great beer available here and I travel for work), but my neighbors like beer and stick to the craft they are familiar (SNPA, Fat Tire, SA....), so anytime I get a limited release, I share it with them. They're getting to try Parabola this weekend.

I'm in the same boat, man. I was borderline embarrassed in the few trades I've done. I just don't have the finances to keep up, but I flew back with 22 bottles of Zombie Dust, and I love hooking people up. It's a beer with an extremely high cost to smile ratio, so it's perfect for me.

A couple of months ago I traded for some Revolution Eugene just to give some to my brother---> Eugene. He really enjoyed it and even saved a can. I just might do it again.

Actually, tomorrow he's having a Kentucky Derby party with all of the old gang and family in attendance and I am contemplating what to bring along. It'll at least be a four-pack of BCBS (cuz, bourbon, and all that...) but probably a Weyerbacher Riserva as well, for a change of pace (and I think my mom will get a kick out of it). I'm definitely looking forward to the whole tasting experience/comeraderie that will be happening as much as anything else.
