So tonight i was out grilling and i poured out (after one last taste) some old beers in the garage beer fridge such as the last ones of Southern Tier 2XMAS, SA White Christmas, Flying Dog Wildeman IPA, SA Chocolate Bock, among a few others. Never did this amount of pouring before but it felt necessary anyone else do this, I mean you can only wait so long for company to drink the stuff you don't want anymore....

Unless it's just horrible stuff, I usually just get a box together of all the stuff I don't want and take it over to a friends house who I know will drink it.

Are you insane? There are sober children in Africa for gods sake! Whats the point of buying beer then pouring it out?

    Edit:
Things I would do with beer rather than pour it out:
    1. Drink it. Stop buying beer for a while and purge your fridge straight down your gulliver.
    2. Experiment - its already gotten old and wasn't supposed to age...So what... see what a full year does.
    3. Give it away- beer advocacy at it's finest
    4. Cook with it. Not so great beer can work as good as any as a marinade etc,
    5. Leave it in the back of my fridge forever!
    6. If its deemed absolutely useless then catch slugs.

I just usually wait for a reason to take it somewhere else I know it will be enjoyed. And if it doesn't get drank then I can drink it next time I'm there and want a beer that's not BMC. Clears out fridge room for me and spreads the love.

I usually offer beer I don't want to my friends when they're over. However, they've learned by now that if I won't drink it then it probably isn't very good. Those snobs.

It's not garbage - it's beer for crying out loud! Is there a reason it needed to be disposed of?

(Maybe this is some sort of humble brag??)

Holy shite I just discovered I still have bottles of BCBS from 2012, 2011 and even 2010 - what was I thinking? Time to pour these suckers, thanks for the heads up - this could have been embarrassing if friends came over.

That beer was way less than a year old and you drain poured it?

    Don't ever do that again.

Find a group of guys roofing a house in your neighborhood on a hot day. They will think you are a god and they will enjoy it.
