I am not used to having a wheat beer that's this hoppy. It threw me off because it didn't taste like any wheat ale Ive had. I am not saying its a bad beer by any means, its very well made, but is it wrong of me to say I prefer my traditional tasting wheat ales over this ?

Is it wrong of you to like one thing more than another? Yes. Very, very wrong. How dare you.

Its not really a debate...sumpin sumpin tastes more like an ipa than a wheat beer.

I call it an IPA or DIPA and think it is excellent. I like it much better than I like what you are calling "traditional tasting wheat ales".

The brewer calls it a wheat beer. So is gumballhead. Don't like hoppy beers? Don't buy lagunitas.

I guess you must have missed the 64ibu stated on the label.

Real debate is, Should Lagunitas continue to make this.....or its substitute Sucks! That is, if we had to choose

It's an "American Wheat," the prefix of which means, expect a shit ton of hops (unless it's Oberon, in which case you should expect a shit ton of shit for liking it...because it doesn't have enough hops).

I don't think we need to debate that, as they've never said that Sucks is a substitute for Sumpin Sumpin.

Sucks is a substitute for Brown Shugga, hence the name "Brown Shugga Substitute Ale"

I'm not a huge wheat beer fan , but I like this beer a lot , maybe they only used wheat as like 5% of the grain bill or something , I would look it up but Im too lazy

No, it's not wrong at all. I usually do not like hoppy wheat beers but really enjoyed Little Sumpin Sumpin. I didn't even realize it was a wheat beer until this thread. In my opinion, hops tend to clash and overpower the flavors that I enjoy in wheat beers so I try to avoid them.

Yes, it's wrong for you to prefer a wheat beer that isn't hopped like an IPA. It's a travesty! Are you sure you like beer?
