What beer are you drinking now? #198

Dam skippy, brother. You will meet my family and we'll partake of burgers, music and good beer. I can't wait.

 

Man, that's a good album. Dude was awesome on SNL, too.

And I gotta pick up a sixer of that beer soon.

 

New ones tonight:

So damn awesome. Flavors are super robust; fair amount of toast/brown bread with some raisins and a TON of caramel/molasses/toffee with some slight floral/earthiness. Super easy drinking, no cloying sweetness. One of the best Browns I have had, even though it is completely unlike any other I have had. Most are quite chocolate forward, but not this.


In a bit of a hurry to deplete some De Proef Signature beers after Les Deux was flat and totally oxidized drain pour times. Anyways this is dated April 2010 on the cork. Alas this one is pretty flat too but not oxidized. Actually quite nice without carbing, nice fruity complexity; good malt balance, slightly tart. Really damn good beer. Plastic corks need to end. This is almost the 4th time I got denied because of them sucking.

I liked it. I think I like Insanity a bit better, both different though. I'm typically an ipa/stout guy and was craving something different and it hit the right spot

Too much. I picked up a few 4-pks and they were something like $13.99 each. Haven't purchased an entire case in a few years. (As often as I buy it, I probably should but have a really hard time finding a case that's within a month or two of canning.)
