Hm. Weird--Nick said he certainly didn't ask for them, so I guess I just assumed. I just talked to Sam at East 1st (what a nice guy!) and he was also saying ~2 weeks. What did we do to deserve this :slight_frown:

After striking out at the first 4 places I went I was able to snag a few bottles. I had to try one. This is worth seeking out.

Ft. Worth, I burned untold gallons of gas trying to get this beer.

You and me both...lol. I managed to snag a few bottles around Fort Worth and nearby areas after lots of driving around and repeated calls to all the stores

No updates on Austin, I suspect? I'm trying to weigh my options about grabbing some extra hour as work tomorrow...

I do! I was so blown away by Sucaba that I need more from these guys! Thanks for checking, too--glad to at least see some consistency begin to crop up.

Totally agreed! Also gotta love that rather than hope and pray to get there in time for that single pour before it blows...up in Denton, not that many people were even drinking Parabola. No trouble at all to get as many pours as you want. I literally heard this: "Man, this is a really good IPA, even though I usually drink more stouts." "Oh, cool so you're gonna try the Parabola I'm sure." "What's that?" Cue facepalm.

Nice! Yeah, its one of my favorites. I lucked into two bottles myself. My usual store held one for me, and then I happened to be at the right place at the right time for the second, lol. Meant to buy a Stone Dayman, but went with the second Parabola instead, lol. Haven't cracked one yet as I already had this year's on tap, but probably will soon. One of my favorite beers along with the one in my icon.

As good as this beer was....I don't think it was worth the hype. For almost $20...I've had others that are nearly as good for half the price. Thats just my opinion but I expected a shift in my experience of a great beer and I just didn't get that from this....

I paid $13.99 to $15.99. Still a bit pricey but IMO very good. I'm looking forward to Stone IRS, a bit cheaper and easier to buy multiple bottles of. I'm sitting on 2 2012 and may pop one tonight.

If it makes you feel any better, I paid over $20 with tax for a bottle of it at B&WW in Mansfield. Not the first time they have been the priciest kid on the block in Texas for limited reserve beers. In fact, they are almost always the most expensive. If not for the fact that they are only a mile away....

They could charge $25 and it would eventually sell out. Hopefully the Stone will still be $6.99 a bottle, we'll see.

We open at 4. Due to the limited amount of bottles we will be receiving, we will be doing them for on premise purchase only.

Between Ananke Day and this I might not have a sober moment next weekend. I'm collecting quarters for the CapMetro as we speak.
