Considering most gin isn't aged it's going to be tough to find barrels.

Opps, I got my information mixed up. There's a Gin up here aged in whiskey barrels. I'm curious about that.

Theyre doing the closest thing to what your looking for that I can think of.

Maybe Trevor aka Oregone will chime in.

How about more beers aged in 100% agave anejo tequila barrels.

There are 2 gin barrels sitting inside the CCB brewpub brewery right now waiting to be filled.

Yeah I was the only guy to review this beer. I was expecting to not like this beer one bit.

Very pleasantly surprised. Interesting concept that worked perfectly with a Rye PA

I actually think this wouldn't be too bad. I feel like gin might work well with the pine kind of taste that some IPAs have.

I can't say I've heard of any breweries doing it. I can't stand gin, so I'd have no desire to try it if someone decided to attempt it.

A gin barrel-aged Sahti would probably work a lot better. That is, if there was a large amount of Sahti being made here in the U.S.

I enjoy both gin and IPAs tremendously. I do not want to mix the two.

Gin seems to mix well with citrus fruits in drinks and I think you could take a citrus flavor IPA (Citra, Mosaic, Amarillo hopped) and age it in a Gin Barrel to give it a nice complex flavor. If any home brewers do this and would like to send me a sample, I wouldn't say no.

Rogue has a pale ale with juniper berries that I took a flyer on a while back. Unfortunately, it seemed to suffer from Rogue's Syndrome (def: a lack of boldness; an unwillingness to risk offense). As a result, the existence of juniper flavoring seemed to begin and end on the label. I'd definitely be interested to try something that actually married some juniper flavor to a PA or IPA. Seems like a combination that's crazy enough it just might work.
