    I just

I just replaced two shelves just like that. The wood bows in the middle after a couple of months. I got scared it would just cave in.

Hmm, I haven't had a problem with them bowing at all and I've had them for 2 years or so now. I believe they make similar shelving systems with different wood thickness though.

Everything I have is in a fridge, or boxed up in chest freezer. Not the prettiest to look at, but it's practical.

You could always add some support/bracing to the shelf...

So I started this thing last year. So far I've been drinking here and there and also waxing the caps of my bottles. I've gotten lazy as of late and havent waxed some of my new ones. I've got 2 wine fridges. Both are set to 54 degrees Farenheit. I change it from time to time between 50 to 54.

The full list of beers are here.

There is are another 50 or so bottles that I don't plan on aging and need to drink and review. As far as the cellar goes I need to start drinking/trading some of it down. First will probably be the older Mad Elf. I cracked a 2008 open a few months ago and It was delicious, but I'm pretty sure that it has peaked.

Pulled a few bottles out of the cellar to do a little pre-moving inventory. Thought I'd snap a few pics in the process. Sorry for the terrible phone camera image quality.

No wonder all the limited release beers are so hard to get these days. You pricks buy 'em all up so you can stare at them down in your basements.

I just dumped out a couple 4-packs of KBS from 2010 the other day. Way past its prime.

You know how I know you're lying?
It's because you never actually opened any KBS from your cellar in the first place.

Do you order most of this online?

I didn't realize beer was something to collect. Some of these look more like museums. I pray to god for some of you that every one of your beers somehow manages to improve over several years. It would be tragic to miss the best days so so many beers. But with the kind of volume some of us tote around, I don't see how it can be avoided. Impressive nonetheless. You guys do some good work.

I personally make it a point to drink every bottle before throwing one in the cellar.

Recent additions since this picture was taken:

A long-awaited BCBCS (will drink that one soon), 2011 Olde Bluehair, and an Odell Bourbon Barrel Stout (which I hope is not infected...)

Recent subtraction: a CW BBBW, which I am enjoying right now!
