    I'm not religious at all but the Beer Gods were shining on me today. Popped into my local supermarket at 8.30am this morning and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw they had five bottles of Parabola on the shelves. However, they had it labeled as Double Jack, with a price tag of $7.99.

    I did the decent thing and asked the cashier if this was in fact the price. She called her manager, who ummed and ahhed, went out the back to check, and finally reappeared to say the price wasn't correct but that I could have all five at $7.99 if I wanted. Yes please, I said. Thank you very much, I said.

    I'd already lucked out a couple of weeks ago, snaffling 7 bottles from my local Whole Foods.
    I've given one away to a buddy and drunk one (wow). I'll be drinking a couple more and cellaring a couple too.
    This still leaves a few for trading though, so hit me up with any suggestions. Cheers!

    Of course, I paid full price for the first haul so that averages out at a hefty $12 a bottle...

    It's not a chain, just an up-market place in San Carlos. They do some decent craft beers but they didn't seem to know what they had on their hands with the Parabola.
