So the other day I went to my local bottle shop and they had some Ithaca Flower Power on tap. For me, this beer is awesome! Great taste, smell, and freshness. I loved it. But all the other beers from them I've tried are just OK for me. Anyone else have a similar experience of having one GREAT beer from a brewery while all the others they make seem mediocre?

yeah there are a couple of breweries here locally in VA. who make one or just 2 great beers and all the others are just, meh. they have to make other styles to stay in business though. i guess there is someone drinking the other stuff.

Other offerings are good but not great. They have made up ground on their IPAs

I like to to keep the tone of the posts casual...plus I'll be the first to admit I don't have the best grammar.. plus this second La Fin Du Monde is tasting great...

I'm just busting balls man. I was joking with another BA earlier about how every other thread starts with the word so.

Oh, and I'm no grammar genius either.

I think I've liked every other beer I've tried from them more than Sexual Chocolate.

The large format beers from Ithaca are solid - Anniversary, Brute, LeBleu, etc...

New Belgium - not a big fan of most of their beers, but some of them are freaking outstanding, like Ranger, or La Folie or other Lips of Faith series beers

I'm amazed that the first response to this thread wasn't Troeg's----Nugget Nectar. Not just awesome, world class!
Another average East coast brewery that makes an awesome beer is Heavy Seas-- Loose Cannon

While this is a joke based on them only distributing two beers, one the top rated on BA, the other a saison brewed for those with Celiac's disease, it is the epitome of irony. I can think of no other brewery that created more different styles of beer that were so uniformly great than did the Alchemist when they were a brewpub, before the flood.
