Anyone have any info on things like Sixpoint Apollo showing up in our area? Or Victory Whirlwind?

Victory Swing (their newest offering, a low ABV saison) came out months ago in other markets, but we never saw it, so I'm guessing we won't be getting any of that.

Daytime IPA is a July offering, from what I remember, anyone know for sure?

Saw Apollo in Southbury on Saturday in cans, and Prime 16 had it on draft on Thursday.

Victory Swing has been waiting approval in CT for awhile now. Was suppose to be on the way over a month and a half ago and I haven't heard anything since.

Apollo was on tap at the Dew Drop in Derby last week and the week before. Haven't been this week so I don't know if it still is.

    Pretty sure it's in Danbury.

I just can't wait to try a bunch of low ABV beers to find out which ones I will be drinking this summer besides my usual suspects. As well as different styles, I gotta get out of the constant Pale Ale/IPA funk I'm in. I know this has nothing to do with the thread, just felt like sharing....CHEERS

If you haven't tried Apollo before, definitely keep an eye out for that

I have actually, at the Rising Pint Brewfest. Not bad at all, could be worth a couple of single purchases.
I can say that Daytime won't be getting any love from me, there is just to many good beers with low ABV for me to grab that one. I'm more partial to All Day IPA, it has way more flavor to me.
    I appreeciate the heads up....CHEERS

    Weiss Trash Culture.

That's all I care about right now in terms of summer beers.

    Can't. Wait.

Somewhat similar to this, Capt Lawrence released a lime Berlinner last Wednesday that I'd really like to try. Thinking of hitting it up Thursday, that way if it's any good, I can grab a growler or 2 for the long weekend...

Good beer, did you get to try the pilot batch?
It was my first Berlinner Weiss ( I think that's how it's spelt ), and I must say I'm an immediate fan of the style

I did, and it was a great - highly traditional, from what experience I do have - interpretation of the style. Can't wait for it to be ready, hopefully in cans. I can't imagine a better summer option than a canned Berliner.

It wasn't was I was expecting ( in a good way ), it definitely be a great summer beer for cans but I'm a little impartial to Galaxy in cans. Is their any truth to Galaxy coming in cans and Elm City being retired?
I can't remember where I heard that, might have been the NEBCo thread

I'd be shocked if Elm City was retired.

Well, they have Apollo in neighboring RI now, so I guess it sounds like New Haven is specifically out of luck at the moment.

Does anyone know the specifics of the distributor that Victory goes through for our area? The guys at Amity said something about it being a wine distributor who doesn't really sound like they give too much of a shit about beer, which might help explain why you never really see any Victory beers on tap in the area.

Bumping this up to let people know Sixpoint Apollo appears to be in the New Haven area now. Got mine from Amity for $9.99
