Thanks for the advice guys. I gave him a bottle of parabola for free last week because he had a hard time finding it. Was looking for some type of answer refering to trade value not on how to be a good friend.
Completely worth it. 2008 is sublime. But as someone else said - I'd open them both together and share. The 2012 is ready to go compared to many other "fresh" vintages (though 2011 was crazy how good it was fresh - no alcohol presence at all). tl;dr - Open both beers on a night together and enjoy them!
So, he's a friend. Trade value of 08' BCBS is 3x 12' BCBS - friend discount = free. Listen to this solid advice: Also, pointing out that you gave him a bottle previously has what to do with this exactly? The fact he's not on Beer Advocate has what to do with this exactly? If a coworker needs a ride to the airport, do you check your notes to see if he was one of the guys at the bar two weeks ago after work you bought a drink for prior to making the decision to drive him to the airport?
-Is trade worth it? -Trade is with a friend -Good enough friend that I gave him a free Parabola -Don't need to know how to be a good friend, just need to know trade value because those 2 things are somehow related. Well... this was another weird one.
Has to do with ..., he doesn't want to open anything and he's to lazy to trade it himself on here. Its a coffee stout on my end.
