Last time you drank from the bottle?

5 minutes ago... Until I switched to whiskey for the night. I find that even though I'm a beer enthusiast, I'm still not pretentious enough to pour good beer into a glass

Only when the social situation demands it. To me, if a beer is worth drinking it is worth a pour.

 

OP: I don't keep track but it's probably been a few weeks. Drinking from the glass/can mutes the overall experience too much for me, but if someone hands me an AAL I'm not too concerned about that.

You refuse to pour good beer into a glass because doing so is "pretentious"?

 

Do you also eat food with your hands, leaving utensils and plating for the "pretentious"?

 

2 hours ago or so. I was not expecting much from New Belgium Triple, but was plesantly surprised. But at the same time, when I grabed it from my fridge, I just wanted an easy beer, not something I had to think about or savor for too long. Sometimes I am in the mood for an easy, quick beer, and when I am, I like a beer which is easy out of the can.

 

Back in 1951 when I pinched some of my Dad's Bass. I was scolded, not for the beer but for drinking from a bottle , a social no-no in these parts.

 

It's been a while...

 

Just drank a 40 of oe800. Seriously went to a bar that had torpedo bottles but only frozen glasses. Drank it straight from the bottle

 

I eat plenty of indian food and there are no utensils, plus hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, sandwiches, tacos, burritos, fruit, bread, hot wings, pretzels, chips, fries, cupcakes, brownies, cookies, nuts, popcorn, candy, pita bread with hummus, jalapeno popers, kababs, tortillas, shrimp, crackers, sushi, etc. Also a week ago in class we had a party/reaction time experiment with booze drank some Lagunitas IPAs. Apparently your reaction time gets faster the more you drink... to a point.

Other than that it's been a while. I admit to drinking from a glass at parties. I figure if I'm drinking calories, it had better be worth it.

The syrup chugging was worth it.

To the OP, a can on occasion (usually when I want one in the shower), bottles pretty rarely.

With your nose being much closer to the opening on a can versus bottle, you can smell/taste your beer and that's why I'm cool with drinking some beers, in certain situations, from the can.

 

Was with my kids at a one of their friend's birthday parties about 3 or 4 months ago. It was at a trampoline sports bounce/arcade facility and I was looking for a reason to get away for a few minutes to find some peace & quiet so I said "I'll check out the snack bar."

I was surprised to see they had beer. At first it looked like all BMC, so I was going to pass. But then I saw they had Starr Hill Northern Lights IPA (not my favorite brewery, but good enough).

Needless to say they didn't have glasses, though I was tempted to ask for a soda cup. Drank it from the bottle...not a bad IPA!

 

If cans count... Last night.

If wine counts... I took a swig a few days ago.

If only beer, a few days before the wine.
