Lately I've been noticing that I am enjoying "hoppy only" ipa's less. I still enjoy the style, but now I am looking for a more balanced approach to the style. I still want a big, juicy hop profile, but I want some sweet malt to back it up. I'm wondering how other experienced drinkers feel about this.

I would give examples but I think that would just lead to a thread shit-storm. "You think what-about-what while thinking what-about-what?!"

Citrus and hops go together like biscuits and gravy.
    Love that stuff.

I'm finding I don't really like ANY IPA anymore. I like them and I'll pretty much drink any IPA but when I buy IPAs now, I pretty much want tropical fruit-y dank IPAs with Citra and Galaxy and more of those along those lines in general. I just need them to be differentiated from the run of the mill grapefruit bitter pine IPA.

I'm having a change of heart on IPA's lately too, whether balanced or superman hopped I am getting tired of the higher ABV IPA's. Call me crazy but I think I drank too much Hoptimum, It's kinda killed it lol.

I'm already having withdrawals from Tasmanian IPA. October can't get here soon enough. 8-bit gives me my galaxy hop fix for now.

I adore IPAs. I don't want them all the time, tho'. Gimme a cold Pils, or a warm Chimay, or a lukewarm British ale, sumtimes. Variety is the spice.

You need DIPA's, not sharply bitter IPA's. DIPA's obviously have more malt to balance the hops.

Yes I have absolutely noticed this. When I first got into craft beer I didnt like 120 minute because, and I quote, "It's way over malted". But now, and I dont typically like DFH, I enjoy drinking it for its malt profile.

My feelings about most styles, excluding sours - which I always want, come and go, change and vary, much like food cravings.

Honestly the beer I want to drink depends on my mood, the weather and what I'm eating at the time...

True as well. Right now I want DIPA's and imperial stouts only. I'm sure in a few months that will change. Maybe I'm actually a woman...

Citra and galaxy are the best. Their aroma is intoxicating. Dank, juicy hop flavor...mmmmmmmmm.

I feel good things about IPAs. The way they taste, I get so giggly, it makes me want to snort out laughing. On a serious note, Dood, they're effin' tasty.

IPAs and IIPAs have turned into my favorite style, but I'm also starting to like stouts more and more as well...

I just love me some hoppy deliciousness.

i only got really into IPAs and DIPAs around the middle of february.....so its way too early for me to get sick of them.
after spending most of the winter abusing quads, its been a good change of pace.
i feel myself more drawn to lighter beers as its getting more humid here in NY....nothing too light, but some solid BPAs...and saisons.....oh lordy, saisons

Lovin' the ipa's still. Most recently I have been drinking Tallgrass Ethos. Bitter and easy with just enough malt to feather the finish. Tasted some onion and garlic too which I found pleasant. This is weird because I really tried to like Gubna, but to no avail.. I think I really need to revisit tome Gubna. Any suggestions on oniony ipa's?

P.S. if you want an IPA without the insane bitterness, like another person said, try an Imperial IPA. To be specific, Hopslam ... delicious hop flavor but with a good bit of sweetness.

One that I just had was 2X IPA by Southern Tier, and that was absolutely outstanding.

The IPA is still my go-to style. I love a crisp hop profile, and a dry finish. There are endless variations on this basic concept depending on the hops (bittering hops, dry hopping, wet hopping, and so on), the types and amount of malt, the abv, the water chemistry, the yeast... When will I get bored? Never.
