If you are displaying the bottles for yourself only, because it makes you happy looking at them, then great. Go for it. Everyone else thinks you are a dirty trash hoarder.

Garbage, sadly... seems such waste! I much prefer reusable containers. There is a new beerpouch out that I like, but I have to drive a long way to get mine refilled since we don't have any growler stations close by. So, mostly I just dump my bottles in the garbage and then feel guilty.

I save my tequila bottles but I throw all the beer bottles in the recycling.

I keep my empties (one of each)....have an obnoxious collection on display in my basement. And dirty trash? Nope. All thoroughly cleaned before I put them on shelves.

I put them in the co-mingled recycling bin. This is so much better than the days when we had to separate recycling. Back in the day, all the neighbors could see all of my bottles sitting out there on display in all their glory.

I recycle them...my girlfriend lets me display a select few. Doubt she would appreciate if I had 2000 bottles in my apartment.

Recycle or keep for future homebrews.

for almost all bottles? recycle. Now that I'm kegging, I really don't need any new bottles and just keeping 2-4 cases of empty ones will be all I need.

However, I save, clean, and wash all the 22 oz bottles I get. I can bottle a lot faster with emmn and its a good option when I've run out of kegs

I clean then with a small pour of oxiclean free, a blast of steam, a pour of hot water from a kettle, and then I fill emmn up with water and let them soak for a bit. But that's the worst case scenario when I get old bottles and they have gunk on the bottom that needs to die (the heat, oxiclean, and rinse can pretty much clean anything)

Normally its just a 10-15 second blast from the steam cleaner and a quick rinse and the bottles are off to storage in case I ever need emmn.

I would recycle, but they don't recycle glass where I live, only plastics and aluminum cans.

On a rare occasion I might keep the bottle; especially if its a one off that I really liked. However, most of the time I just recycle them.

When I first got into craft I saved 1 of each different beer I drank. After having about 250 bottles it was getting to be too much and just didn't have the room to display them. Now I only save Jolly Pumpkin bottles because they look awesome.

I collect labels, so I soak those off then recycle the glass.

I keep some rare bottles and put em on a shelf. Especially rare bombers. The rest I usually keep for home brewing or it goes right into recycling

Keep enough on hand for home brew. The rest I recycle with a place that gives the nickels to the local Veterans group.

I have been keeping one bottle of every separate beer I drink for the last 10 months or so (since I really started into craft beer), and I am quickly running out of decorative space..
