I have a variety of about fourteen beers in my refrigerator that have been waiting to hit my lips and then sometime thru the night the refrigerator went out and now all these beers have warmed or gotten just plain hot. My question is will they be alright since I have re-chilled them, or will it effect the taste of the brews I have been stashing for my daily new beer? Any advice?

Reasonable temperature fluctuations have no effect

Probably not. Send them to me, I'll dispose of them appropriately.

Most beer goes from cold to hot multiple times during it's travels to your fridge. Light, not heat, is a much bigger enemy of your beer...

    How hot?

The re-chilling part isn't going to hurt them but extreme heat could've done some damage. Chances are they are fine if they were in a closed fridge and not the back of a car or something like that.

No worries. I regularly buy cold beers on the road ( biz trips, vacations) to bring back and they warm in the car. No taste issues after re-chilled.

Sweet deal. I am glad to read these replies. I was gonna be really bummed if I had to go out and re-buy beer to add to the two grand I just shelled out for a new fridge. Thanks.

Just make sure you chill them enough so the can turns blue, that's how you know it's as cold as the Rockies

what really wrecks (skunks) your beer is UV rays present in sunlight and some special strong lightbulbs.
discrete temperature fluctuations have no impact. only extreme heat can haze or flake your beer due to protein changes, flavor however is untouched generally. so dont worry, re chill and enjoy

2k for a new fridge? And you're worried about the beer? Good man!

Invest another couple hundred for a small dedicated beer fridge. None of that bothersome food to get in the way of getting yourself a beer.

The real issue with unfiltered craft beer and temp is reactivation of the yeast. Yeast will wake up at about 75 degrees and if there's any o2 in that bottle then it'll start working again.

Yeast will only start working if there are any fermentable sugars for them to work on.

Edit: And yeast works plenty fine below 75 degrees.

Hey, we all have our days where we say stupid shit. Be glad you got yours out early and online.

None of this is true, BTW.

I've been wrapping my special beers (WV12) in aluminum foil to keep light out, however my apartment has no A/C. It gets pretty roasty in the storage room and I've heard the fridge is too dry an environment for 'cellaring'... in such a scenario, which is the lesser evil, the cool/dry fridge, or the hot/moist room?

I'd recommend putting your beer in the fridge, and then drinking it. Long term storage doesn't appear to be in the cards for you.
