Oh lord, didn't know they made a barrel aged version. A friend got me the base beer, it was very good. What was the price/bottle count?

Found a little hole in the wall KC, KS store that actually still had Saison-Brett and Hoppin Frog BORIS. The others are Rochefort 10 and 8, to go along with a Stone smoked porter.

The mess I brought back with me from Vermont, all the way to Missouri. I'm just glad everything survived the journey in my tiny little car!

I'm ready to jump in it with both feet, the only thing I've had before is Ten Fidy. The HT is only 12 days old. And a 2009 and 2011 Ten Fidy.

Personally, if you like KBS, you will like this one. Bourbon forward with vanilla and chocolates coming through from the aging. The Price per bottle was about $5 per bottle depending on which store. As for numbers, i have no idea. But being brewed ad De Molen, i would assume probably at least 1k. This competes with some of the big hitters for BA Stouts in my opinion, and other local beer geeks think the same

If you can find a bottle. It is worth it!

This was 5,000 bottles, if I remember correctly what Mark told me when I was at their brew dungeon. You should definitely hit up those tasting sessions. The #16 prototype was later tweaked into this Double Oatmeal Stout. It's a lot thicker, proper lush stuff.
