Yeah ,I know what your saying. I feel the same but the other day it was hot and I just got out of work and the first brew I had was an Edmund Fitzgerald porter and it was awesome. It went down nice. It was refreshing so I had another.

It's 70 degrees in my apartment all year so any style is welcome.

I drink Cadillac Mountain all year round. It's even great on a hot day.

I only have one season...summer. So I drink whatever I want, whenever I want.

My undisputed favorite moment of each year: Sitting around a campfire at a backcountry campsite just after dusk on a PNW summer day sipping on a fine bourbon-barrel-aged Imperial stout.

    My dog is there too.

Dunkelweizens are kinda dark, so Is Heineken Dark, so is Guinness, so is BCBS, so is KBS. I am over some dark beers, other dark beers I am not over. Don't judge a beer by its color.

I'm never "over" them, I still enjoy them year-round. But my intake certainly lessens during the hotter months, when things like helles, kolsch's, hefes, berliners, and sours seem much more appropriate after, say, a long day of yardwork.

Black Butte porter is possibly my favorite hot weather beer. I drink it really cold, it's like a chocolaty, super drinkable milkshake on a 100 degree summer afternoon.

consumers after my own heart! i'm heading to the ACBF in Boston tonight and may just sample only the farmhouse/saison beers. after all, they plan on having about 40 of them pouring

The lighter styles do fit well with the warm summer months but I will almost any beer, any time of the year. As far as big, high ABV imperial stouts, I certainly enjoy them, but only occasionally, regardless of weather.

Color has nothing to do with viscosity, lightness of body, or drinkability. Imperial stouts and porters I don't usually crave in the summer, but I absolutely do crave a traditional German dunkelweizen or similar refreshing dark beers.

Those dark beers are like a meal in a bottle, so it's hard to drink them in the summer when the heat cuts my appetite.

Besides, I hate the idea of drinking the dregs out of the bottom of the kettles.

No way! Framinghammer all day! A man can't just skate through the seasons quaffing none but ***** brews. Sure you can drink plenty more of the weak and watery blandness, but how do it affect you as a person? Go bruins!!!

Wouldn't say I'm over them, just putting them on hold for a minute.

Instead of beer last night, I grabbed some Rose Lemonade from Fentiman's and mixed it with some maple syrup and vanilla bean infused rye whiskey and it was damn tasty. Summer in a glass.

That said, I'd drink the hell out of just about anything, any time of year.
