Have spoken with Sean Lawson a few times, as well as Dann and Martha from Pretty Things. Martha has been wonderful in answering my beer aging question emails. Going to NEBCO frequently allows me to chat with Rob and Matt since they are the ones who usually pour when you get there. Great guys and will answer any questions you have.

I spent about 15 minutes talking to John Hall at Goose Island. My favorite part? Him telling me he prefers the low alcohol beers ("I think they call it session nowadays") because he likes beer so much and wants to drink a lot of it.

Dave Engbers gave the tour of Founders I was on. That was really cool. Apparently they were about a month away from bankruptcy at one point. He said he knew his brewery made it when he could finally put a full tank of gas in his car.

I spoke with Deborah Carey - Founder of New Glarus Brewery briefly yesterday. She was actually more interested in talking to my 19 month old son than me.

This thread is starting to make me think that I'm one of the only people on here that hasn't randomly ran into Sam from DFH.

I drank some Jai Alai with Jesus the other day. It's the least I could do after he mowed my lawn in searing heat.

Wow. You are obviously WAY more cool than the rest of us.

Personally, if I have a lot of respect for the head of a company whose product I enjoy - or anyone else whose work I respect - I enjoy chatting with them.

After attending Zwanze Day 2011 at Monks Café in Philly I e-mailed Cantillon to complement them on the Zwanze as well as the Lou Pepe Geuze, and other beers from them available on tap never really expecting a reply. But two days later I got one from Jean himself. It was very lengthy explaining how the idea of Zwanze came about and what it means to him and his family to hear the joys people get from drinking their beers. It was really cool and meant a lot that he would take the time to personally thank me. Great family and great beer!

Met Jeppe/Evil Twin serving Imperial Doughnut Porter at Brewvival. Didn't understand a word he said, but we both laughed in merriment while drinking great beer in the mud. And I mean MUD!

I had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the Horse Brass Pub, Don Younger, RIP, at FredFest 2010. Really nice guy, he was outside smoking while I was leaving and stopped me because I looked so young and we had a short conversation about my interests in beer and the evening.

OMG, you're that guy! That douchebag I've heard so much about on the internet... the one that feels compelled to post in threads that don't interest them!

Side note - that makes you my first beer celebrity sighting.

No celebrity encounters, but I did go to an "All About Beer" (magazine) CBC event featuring the newest/best 30 brewers under 30. There was only one female brewer featured there, and she happened to be a busty blonde wearing a mini-skirt. As soon as she walked up to the stage, the friend that I brought with said "whoa, she's like the Pamela Anderson of beer!" I thought it was funny (and definitely relative ).
