I've really been enjoying learning about how wild beers are brewed and I'd like to continue my education. I've read through the "Wild Brews" book and would like to read through the Lambic (Classic Beer Styles) book.

1.) Is it worth the read? Currently the cheapest ones I've found are close to 100 bucks.
2.) Anyone have one they would like to let me borrow (or sell me?)
3.) Any other books worth reading about this style?

I've yet to track that one down as well. The Lambicland and the one other lambic book that's name is escaping me were both good reads, more about the history of it than the brewing. The Wild Brews/Farmhouse Ales/Brew like a Monk were all great.

Is Lambicland more about how to brew or a history? I like learning the science of it, not so much the history of it.

I've read it. It's not a terribly accurate book. Definitely not worth the money used copies are selling for these days.

It has been a long time since I read it, what part gives you issues? I have some guesses, but would like to know.

I think Wild Brews is now the book to read foe Lambics.

Definitely more history. I'm not sure how much more info there is though, aside from turbid mash probably anything more advance to learn would just be from hands on experience.

Oh, and definitely check out the babblebelt.com homebrew forums, definitely where I go to ask questions.

There was just one up on the bay for a couple of minutes. Sold.

It's a solid book (I got lucky and grabbed it for ~$30 a couple years ago), better than I expected actually, but there really isn't much in there that isn't covered equally well by Wild Brews.

Shoulding you be tooting your own horn in this thread?
(even if your upcoming book is not specifically about Lambic)

The thought of using homebrew forums as a source of accurate information doesn't exactly thrill me.I've looked at enough to be very wary, though stated in good faith so much is stuff passed on from person to person.
