We were lucky to get a case at my store. We usually make out pretty well. We didn't receive a lot in S.C.
I've got a few bottles of xxx, what's it trading for? "Limited shelf stuff $4$." BUT IT WAS SUPER HARD TO GET AROUND ME. RAYYREEE. Not even sick of these threads yet.
It's aged 4 years in foudre so I'd say one of the following combinations of barrel/foudre aged beers would be fair: -1 bottle of 4 year aged FV13 for 1 bottle of something aged 2 years, 1 bottle of something aged 1 year and 2 bottles of something aged 6 months -1 bottle of 4 year aged FV13 for 2 bottles of something aged 1 year and 4 bottles of something aged 6 months -1 bottle of 4 year aged FV13 for 4 bottles of something aged 1 year -1 bottle of 4 year aged FV13 for 2 bottles of something aged 2 years -1 bottle of 4 year aged FV13 for 1 bottle of something aged 2 years and 2 bottles of something aged 1 year -1 bottle of 4 year aged FV13 for 2 bottles of something aged 18 months and 1 bottle of something aged 1 year
this shit came and went in chicago super fast, and i'm not surprised. it's a ridiculously good beer. reminded me a bit of an oakier bon chien. a buddy on the east coast picked some up for me and i'll have them in december or so when he comes into town again. though i can understand why it sits. at lower than its price point, you can pick up a 375 of tilquin or 3f and know it'll be good, where this requires a little bit of a leap of faith for someone who hadn't heard glowing reviews.
