Kind of a crap move making the releases staggered after the whole 5/26 snow storm ordeal. Seems like they don't have people anxiously waiting for these in mind. Especially those 4+ hours away. Just my opinion. http://www.hillfarmstead.com/bottle-release/

Please, by all means, explain how spreading the releases out over a longer period of time and thus insuring more people have an opportunity to get something is a "crap move".... That shade of entitlement isn't very becoming.

He doesn't like the fact that people who actually want to drink the beer and not just trade it away will be able to get it

I was just thinking the same thing. I have a place up there, but I can't justify running up for a bottle or two every week for a month. Oh well, it's great for the (full time) locals. I'm just praying for the Damon releases to happen when I'm up there in August!

This seems like the exact opposite of a "crap move". Breweries like Hill Farmstead should be staggering, non-announcing, bottle limiting, and doing everything else they can to spread the beer to the most number of people possible.

Then what was the goal of last release and why has it now changed? Just wondering.

I don't know, ask Shaun. If I were him though I'd certainly be sick of people swarming my house on bottle release days who never show up any other time...

Cigar City really tries hard to make this happen, too, and I think it's great.

The only real drawback, to me, is that you lose out on the fun part of planned releases, namely meeting up, drinking, and sharing with other beer enthusiasts.

What does that have to do with anything? I could have joined yesterday, doesn't matter. It's a forum. Relax. And thank you, I'm getting the replies I wanted, it's a discussion topic don't get all angry.

I think with the last release they wanted to just bite the bullet and do it all in one fell swoop over the long weekend. Since the weather didn't allow for that, spreading it out may make things easier for them when all is said and done.

Exactly my point, it's not that I feel entitled but that we try and make a day/weekend out of it and go out to grab new releases. If it was originally this way then owell, but now hoping that the new release is different is disappointing that I'd all.

Welp, guess I don't deserve hill farmstead anyways until I've been a member for at least 6 years...:slight_frown:

It would be better if he staggered the release with a chance to grab all 3 bottles on 3 different dates. Besides, how am I supposed to drink his beer in Chicago if I can't mobilize my mules for a multiple bottle incentive?

Also Shaun has got to know that those 20 different guys (including Adam Jackson) that come 5 consecutive days (ala Juicy/CD5) are trading and selling his beer.
