This is a thread for all of those problems you have that only other BA's will understand (and that you're almost afraid to admit even on BA).

    I'll start:
I'll never be able to do a legitimate side-by-side of Hopslam and Double Trouble. One comes out in winter and one comes out in Spring. Never the twain shall meet in their prime...

I hate when people create "vs. threads." Cool brah- go ahead and rate them in that one place that ranks things for us.
Oh, and don't get me started on the "vs. threads" haters that bump the shit out of those things and ensure I always have one on the home page.

Edit- To be clear, I'm not referring to this thread, even though it is talking about side-by-sides. Maybe you could buy a French Press and rehop one or the other??? Sort of joking:slight_smile: Cheers.

I hate going to nice restaurants with terrible beer selections.

I hate ordering a pint and having the waitress ask if I want "a small one or a big one".

I hate having to specify every. single. time. that I do not want a frosted glass.

I hate ordering a beer that comes in a bottle and being served only the bottle.

Is it possible to cellar Hopslam and wait for Double Trouble to come out? or would that be unfair for Hopslam, since the hoppiness flavor will subdue as a result of cellaring?

I have to thoroughly agree with this.

My problem is simple and I think just about everyone here has the same issue, SO MUCH BEER....SO LITTLE TIME. My cellar is beyond stocked, my trading habits are out of control and I can't seem to drink as much beer as it is coming into my possession.

Inability to do a vertical with the same vintage. I'd love to do side by sides with the same beer as it is now, and how it will be a year from now.

    Time machine plz...

Sometimes I don't want brewpub food, or pretentious "farm to table" food-- but you can't get an interesting beer at the Chinese restaurant, the sushi place, or Thai, much less the Mexican.

When a guy next to me shouts "5 bucks for a bottle? You could get a case of 30 cans for only 15 bucks!" I was talking about KBS. I guess no one will understand, therefore keep my mouth shut.

When they charge 10 bucks for a plastic cup of Yueng at the ball park, which I buy anyway because I tailgated and am already drunk and have no concept of money and cost efficiency.

Bottles of beer with low or average levels of carbonation that are finished with corks and cages drive me nuts. I do not like getting out my rusty pliers to open a bottle of beer.

Oh distribution is a more serious issue I'm concerned with. There's a good many beers I would like to try that never get anywhere close to Virginia...

Ahhh the elusive border state breweries. Depending on where you are in NY, it might be a doable weekend trip. Been thinking I need to do the same pretty soon here.

nah, not for me. I'm on the isle of long.... with a 4yo kiddo who never sits still. he'd implode if he was in a car for over 4 hours. boston is about 6 hours from me. sigh. maybe when he's in college?
