Austin Beerworks 16 ouncers

I'm headed to Austin this weekend and I plan on getting a few 4 packs. Ill bring a couple to the next Nobi share if I score as intended.

 

There's still a good amount at E1G if you strike out across town. I'm sure there will be some around this weekend.

 

There was at least 24 4-packs at Whole Foods downtown yesterday. It shouldn't be too hard to find.

 

Brodie HEB and Spec's also has a fair amount. I didn't notice any on display, but I saw a few cases worth stacked on palates in the back of the store at both. Ask someone on the floor for a 4-pack.

 

I appreciate the info guys. I hope to get some fresh Double Jack as well while im up there.

 

FYI the freshest Double Jack I've seen is 5/02.

Very easy. It should be at any Spec's and Whole Foods. Just about any store should have it.

 

Apparently, Stone's latest 'Enjoy By' was packaged on the same day as our Double IPA (May 31). Anyone up for a side-by-side comparison? We'll do one, but we're biased.

 

I am doing this tonight and my buddy in Philly will be doing it Wednesday.

 

After just finishing an Enjoy By and having a Heavy Machinery last night, I'd pick Heavy Machinery for taste, price, and sessioning abilities.

 

Nice! My oops just picked up some HM for the round of golf tomorrow. What else would be a good reasonable beer from their normal lineup?

You can't go wrong with anything they make. I havent had an ABW beer I havent liked yet.

 

Fire Eagle is usually my go to beer from ABW.

Hard to say since preference will heavily influence this one. Both are great IPAs, but I will have to give the edge to Enjoy By since I'm a sucker for hop forward and in your face IPAs. Heavy Machinery Double IPA was more balanced, but it still blew me away for a Texas IPA. Enjoy By costs more, and you can taste the difference in the amount of hops used. Although at $9.99 for 64oz of Heavy Machinery, I could drink it all day everyday. For what it's worth, I rather drink Heavy Machinery 2x over Double Trouble and Sucks which were my favorites accessible in Austin.
