Terrapin's stout is the newest member to the beer hall of fame!

I have been excited for sometime to try this beer. I missed it when it was on tap at House of 1000 Beers in Pittsburgh, PA. I was waiting for my dad to decide what he wanted and a couple in front of me scored the last of that keg.

    ISO...

I wonder which beer is next to be slated for the HoF.

You will be able to drink more WnB next fall. Don't worry it will be back in all its glory. Isn't FBS supposed to be cheaper this coming season also.(the change to 6 packs?)

STILL haven't had anything from Terrapin. That's the real tragedy here.

    Congrats to Terrapin!
Just received a bottle of WnB in a trade yesterday, was already pretty excited to crack it open, now even more so.

But, you know, keeping zero expectations, so that the hype doesn't ruin it.

In the words of the immortal Bill Watterson (another HoFer in whatever damn hall you want to put him in...):
"I find my life is a lot easier the lower I keep my expectations"

I had two of these courtesy of SammyJaxxx. Excellent brew, especially when consumed before noon.

    Salute!

My first and easily favorite Terrapin beer and non barrel aged coffee stout. I still see about a case sitting in the cooler at one store....

That's the regular price(~65$ a case after tax). To my understanding Founders will be putting breakfast stout cases for ~45$ in 2013.(11$ a 6 pack.) FBS cases should be discounted at this point in the year anyway. Out of state I have seen cases from anywhere from 25-35$ discounted. In PA I have seen 4$ taken off old cases in an effort to move them. 4$ does not cover the loss of taste that has happened up to this point.

I give WnB the edge as of now but if FBS gets less expensive the field is wide open.

    Regular price where?

In my part of PA, I've never seen it for less than $75 out the door for a case, and four packs have been $12 and up. Only time I've ever seen it at $10/4 pack was in Michigan.

The west coast seriously needs a beer to compete with FBS and WnB, i love both those beers.

I dig V@S but not enough coffee, and like you said it's pricey!
Port's new beer Board Meeting is awesome too, but still, pricey.

We need somebody like Deschutes to brew a coffee stout in a 6 pack.

I could see one making a case for Speedway Stout, but the flavour profiles of Founders Breakfast Stout and Wake N Bake have much fuller more evocative coffee notes in my opinion.

As for Victory At Sea? To quote one of my favourite films, "Ain't no fucking ballpark neither."
