Next week I'll be attending a function at a local bar and grille and the only beer they'll be serving is pitchers of light draft beer. I have NEVER tasted a light lager. Ever. The lightest I've probably done, as far as abv, is Murphy's Stout. However, it was quite tasty and I still have one every now and then. Here is the line up at the function:
    Bud Light
    Miller Light
    Coors Light
    Busch Light
    Labatt Blue Light
    Michelob Ultra
What's going to be the least offensive? Or, a brew that won't be too bad to session?

Wow really have never drank a light lager before, my how times have changed, They are all really about the same, I Drink Miller when thats the selection but everyone will have a different choice, None will be offensive but none will have much flavor either.

I'm not a fan of adjunct lagers. I guess I'm looking for the brew that has the least corn/grain profile. Boston Lager is the only one I can drink. I'd like to try their light beer as well, but they won't be serving it.

I have a suggestion. If you go to this function with the mind set that you will try to drink the "least offensive" beer you won't enjoy either the beer or the function. Why not change your mind set and try as many as you can and look for whatever good qualities they may have. After all, those beers are among the best selling beers in the world and so they must have some redeeming character, otherwise your friends and neighbors would not be spending their hard earned money on them.

Honestly I don't think Labatt is awful, but really all of those are going to be pretty similar, as long as you drink them really cold you should be fine with anything from that list

Sad but I'd pick Miller Lite. It has a 3rd less calories than our..

Michelob Ultra is a good substitute to water. Probably Labatt or Miller if you're trying to find the most beer-like light lager.

Pretty sure Boston Lager is not an adjunct lager, miles better than any adjunct

Labbat Blue and a few shots is what I would go with.

I'm a big fan of AAL's. "Lites", not so much. But Miller Lite is OK. Tastes great, and less filling, ya know.

I would say give as many a try as you can. I've only had coor's light, miller lite, and bud light all of them kinda tasted like beer flavored water no joke. also there is a reason the commercials tell you to drink them cold, listen to them.

LOL, I think I'll pony up and buy my own. They've got some good brews like SNPA, SA Alpine Spring, and DFH 60 on tap, along with some Belgians. :grinning:

What?!? No Natty Light ! I'd try the Labatt Blue Light only because I've never seen it before. The Miller Lite has some type of mineral thing going on to mask the lack of beer flavor, so that may work. GL.

Yeah out of all the commercial beer I definitely prefer Miller Light.
