Seems like something a quitter would say.

I was going to bring this up. I'm more of a malt fan, but I have enjoyed some hop forward beers. Anything with citrus/floral hops I can probably handle higher IBUs, but I can't stand the piney/fresh cut grass flavored hops...

I am not a masochist, so yes, I have chosen to quit drinking those beers :slight_frown:

Until I can't feel my tongue anymore, keep bringing the hops.

I think it depends on the hop varietal used... There are certain hops I really love and could not ever have too much in a beer and others I'm not as excited about.

I've never had a beer that I've thought that is too hoppy. I don't think I ever will either.

I love the piney/fresh cut grass taste. Different taste buds I guess.

I'm just going off what I've read. Unfortunately I did not get to try the last two batches, and wont be able to make an accurate comparison when I get this years.

I have different moods with ipas.. sometimes I want a super balanced beer and other times I want my face to melt like a candle

Port Brewing 7th Anniversary DIPA is too much, in my opinion. It's just not balanced. All you taste is bitter hops. Not a bad beer overall, but I would never drink it again.

I don't understand the question, and I won't respond to it!

My last home brew was a DIPA - 8% abv and over 300 IBU's! I love it, but I also appreciate a really well balanced IPA as well.

I enjoyed palate wrecker quite a bit and would argue that more hops is always beneficial. Hoptimum is delicious too.

I think hoptimum wrecks my palate far more than GF palate wrecker. Both great DIPAs but my tongue starts to quiver after a hoptimum. And I judge all of my DIPAs by the degree of tongue spasming induced
