    1) My best friend and I have weekly trips to Kroger around 1 AM to pick up some decent session beer and all of the good steak that is about to "turn" that's been put on Manager's Special discount. My dad was a butcher through grad school and this was something he and his buddies did and that I promptly stole. We take it home, immediately grill it, and drink all the beer. Usually results in us yelling at passing cars and something with Vuvuzalas. This happened more in college than grad school, sadly =/

    2) End of summer, my best friend, another good friend and I go on a "beer safari." Basically a 2ish week road trip with stops at great bars and breweries along the way and a beach to sit on with a bunch of beers and whisk(e)y.

    3) Whenever I make chili, I make everyone in the house donate some of their beer to the pot while the meet is browning. Never been disappointed with the result.

Every summer I buy 4 bottles of Black Butte Anniversary and on the first cool weekend in the fall, I invite a few neighbors over and have a vertical from the last 4 years.

My beer tradition involves vacation time at the Outer Banks. This was done for 20 years but sadly since my divorce last year I haven't gone back but I'm planning to next year. I like to rent a house right on the beach and of course I take a boat load of nice beers and the place sleeps 14 so the more the merrier. First day there when everyone is on the beach together chillin, I pour just a little beer on them - every one of them - kids, grandkids, friends, parents, my brother, kids' friends. That way everyone can become one with the surf, the sand, the sun..... and the beer. It starts the week off right.

I don't allow myself to drink any Fall seasonals until the first college football Saturday of the year. It's not fall until football starts. This is getting harder every year as these beers come out earlier and earlier.

Drink a 750ml of Chimay Red while cooking and consuming breakfast while camping. It is a tradition started years ago by my friend Melissa and I haven't camped without it since. Sets a good tone for the day ahead and helps ease the pain from the campfire the night before.

Whenever I come home with beer, as soon as I enter the house I yell, "I GOT SOME BEERS! LET'S DRINK 'EM!"

Aventinus Eisbock with breakfast on my birthday.

Ayinger Celebrator on St. Patty's Day (more happenstance than actual tradition -- it's hard to get around here, but they almost always have it on tap at a good beer bar we go to every SPD).

Otto's Ottonator on the first really chilly fall weekend.

A porter on the winter solstice, different one each year.

A maibock on May Day, but a different one each year.

Beeramid with empty cans when we get together with our old college buddies.

Each month we have a monthly alcohol budget, this includes all alcohols. So, at the beginning of the month I go out and spend part of the budget on beer. When I come home the wife yells at me for spending our budget on beer, no matter the amount I've spent.

    That's our monthly tradition.

Seconded, except I say "your health" instead of "cheers."

Also, I'm constitutionally unable to watch live Premier League soccer from the UK without an accompanying brew, which means, since I live in the fair Commonwealth of Massachusetts, I drink before noon on weekends. Hail Everton.
