Was in local supermarket, lately they have been getting DFH. Saw a six pack of 60 minute, check the date, bottled 6/6/2013! I am on Long Island so to have this stuff so fresh is amazing. Hats off to whoever is getting this stuff to the shelf so quickly. Also, great job DFH with a very clear, easy to read bottled on date!

Other brewers and distributors take note! I wanted to buy another well known breweries beer today, but it was all out of code. So jumped on the 9 day old beer instead.

6 days is practically a week. A week is practically a month! IPAs are all but worthless at that age.

Ha ha. Just goes to show that it is possible to get fresh IPAs to the shelves to other areas.

Wasn't it you who said that IPA's/DIPA's start falling off after hour 23? I do love that beer trader video!!!

You have to haunt that bottle shop as far as I'm concerned. That is really fresh.

Crazy thing is it isn't a bottle shop. Just a chain super market with mostly the usual BMC suspects.

That's probably fresher than the DFH bar/restaurant near me.....

My freshest ipa finds were a one day old Blind Pig and a 3 day old Pliny.

I managed to snag an 8-day old bottle of Lunch at a TW in Richmond, VA (the last one they had, even!) a week or so ago.

    Naturally, it was absolutely epic.

I got some Hoponius Union that was 5 or 6 days old. But Jack's Abby is only 45 minutes away, so what the hell took them so long?!

Shit, I can't get anything older than 3 weeks in Atlanta for Sweetwaters IPA... Everywhere I go, even the big shops, the shit is like 2-3 weeks if I'm LUCKY. A month, or 5 weeks is the norm.

I'm not sure where you are in New York, but if it's NYC that's about 200 miles from DFH and if it's Buffalo it's about 500. So while it's impressive, it's not quite as impressive as the 5-day-old Pliny I once picked up here in Seattle (shipped from Santa Rosa, more than 800 miles away). Then again, RR doesn't distribute here anymore... :slight_frown:

Hey man, turn that frown upside down. You and I both drank some pretty damn fresh Sculpin tonight! Oh and I'm not sure if you've had it, but I highly recommend trying Yule Smith from AleSmith (summer edition, obviously). I picked up a bottle at Malt and Vine today, but I'm sure the other shops in Seattle have some.

Oh and to the OP we're lucky if we get month old DFH beers out here in Seattle. Not gonna lie though, 90 minute always seems to surprise me when I have it, I really do forget how good that beer is.

True, I shouldn't complain. Finishing another Sculpin right now. I had a summer YuleSmith via trade a couple years ago, probably should pick one up now that I can get it locally.

Nice. I remember regularly getting 2 week old or less 6-packs of DFH 60 minute a few years back. Good and tasty fresh IPA.

Yeah- the clear dating on the bottles has revised both my interest and appreciation for the 90 min. and 60 min. lately. Who knows how old the bottles I was previously drinking were; and the last four pack/sixer of each were stellar. Nice job, DFH.

I thought with Oskar Blues moving to Nc freshness wouldn't be an issue. So far with Dale's PA it's not, but G Knight on the shelf is 11/12 canning dates, the freshest I've seen is March 2013, but it's still 3 months old. I like G Knight, and having it fresh would be a new experience.
