Extremely often that the one who reports the homicide/missing persons is involved. So often when a spouse is convicted of murder/kidnapping, they are the perpetrator.

Police often retain the info of the one reporting, and investigate potential involvement.

Thanks to everyone who offered to send a box. Luckily several others in the BIF have volunteered to send bottles as well, so when its all said and done someone will have half a dozen or so boxes on their porch.

Only issue is that because you don't actually know her in person, they likely wouldn't let you know if they found her or not. I mean, if you could convince them that you are her brother or something, maybe, but otherwise if you give the relationship in reality, they'll tell you to stop being a creep.

Just trying to give you an honest explanation as to how this would work out. Beer trading partners have no rights, the doctors wouldn't let me be in the room when RochesterAAron's baby was being born. I mean, what the hell?

Obviously your hands were bereft of walez. If I were a physician, I'd be concerned about the quality of baby's first beer, too.

Either way, not really my point. There's really nothing we can do that would involve the police

Edit: Really hoping a disclaimer isn't necessary, but suffice it to say, please don't do that.

Let's hold for a sec here, she's been nothing but totally reliable for me. She's gone through hoops to get me my stuff and yeah... twitter, untappd, BMs, and my text messages are silent after about a week or so ago.

Just called her phone and went to VM.

I have her real address in LA, anyone know her in person and can check on her?

I have a ~$125 in RS stuff still waiting for her to trustee as well, and simply assumed she hadn't made a trip in awhile.

Nah Brah, there are still TV channels that show that stuff during the hours of 1pm - 6pm for people of significant age to catch before bedtime.

Actually, police conduct welfare checks all of the time, it's part of their job. A call to police non-emergency with the information that someone has completely stopped communicating (even just over the Internet) may result in someone checking on her. I'm not saying its totally appropriate in this situation, but not entirely unreasonable either.

Fair enough, I figured that they would at least ask why we are worried and how we know her, which I would expect would end that little investigation pretty quickly.

You might be surprised. They hear/see everything and deal with strange requests constantly. They may not even ask for more details about exactly how you know her if you are upfront that it is from the Internet and stress why you are concerned. And even if they did, it'd be pretty low on the priority list to bust an individual for mailing beer. Source: do welfare checks with police every day.

Again, though, not suggesting this is the route to go here necessarily.

After seeing that she was active on Pinterest yesterday I agree I don't think doing a welfare check is the right way to go.

I have traded with her in the past and she has acted as a Bruery trustee for me as well. Seemed like a cool chick and was awesome to deal with. I hope she is ok, seriously

all I hope is that something is terribly wrong, her pinterest activity suggests no major life problems.
