Missing Trader: Thickfreakness

    We worked out a trade at the end of April. I shipped my end which he received (he posted pictures in the hauls thread) in mid-May. Last BM from him was on 5/14 in which he said one of the extras he was planning on sending broke. He has not posted since 6/2 and looks to have been on the site pretty frequently until then. He has not answered my BM's or outside emails.

    Anyone know him or have any recent dealings with him?

    He's been a regular for a long time, like you said. Not from my area of NY but I am certain someone knows him, and that he isn't trying to rip anyone off. Hopefully he's alright and someone can contact him.

    I had a similar trading experience with him a while back. It took patience and persistence, but he eventually came through. I think he's one of those vet traders who has let his seniority lull him into shirking.

    I know where he is from, just didn't want to post it.

    It is more likely something happened to him than that he is trying to screw anyone, those on site for a while would know that, I mentioned it for those new here.

    He isn't that far that I couldn't check on him on my way to Vt. one day soon, but let's leave that be for now.

    You're only allowed to complain about a trade that's taken this long if the other BA is not well known. Same goes for lack of communication for this duration of time. This kind of behavior is otherwise acceptable.

    I recently had some things come up and am glad my 2 trades that i had going didn't throw me under the big yellow short bus:slight_smile:
    I was 7 days late shipping one and 4 days late on the other :rolling_eyes:

    I dealt with him last year, it took me talking to oldp0rt for him to ship, but he did come through eventually.
