Hey guys, Just wanted to know the details about when this beer is released and do they growler fill or bottle it? If so what price? Any details would be appreciated. Would love to trade for it. Thanks, Garrett Jahn
Curious about this gem as well. People have said its delicious and would love to try it. Thinking abut heading up to bear republic next weekend, not expecting them to have it but I don't know if its something they just have on every once in a while or not.
I'm not sure what they're doing for this batch (i.e., if they made a ton of it), but I've only seen them fill growlers of Tartare for close friends or those who frequent the pub on a regular basis, albeit at a slightly higher cost than general growler fills. If some rando were to walk in and ask for a growler, chances are they'd get turned down (at least in the past).
I've randomly walked in and was offered a growler. This was last summer though and they may have changed their policy since then.
The last batch (like a year ago) was massive, and they might have growler filled then. I was told then that they'd blown their wad and it would take almost two years to make more, so it might be a while before we see it largely distributed beyond the occasional keg at the brewpub or at fests.
I really wish they would bottle this beer. I was at Bluesapalooza last year when BR tapped a 5-gallon keg. No one knew it was there, so I stood by their tent drinkin this beer for an hour straight. So delicious and sessionable... it was like I was rehydrating for the rest of the event, but I was drinking beer!
I had some on Saturday afternoon and it was super tart, much more so than the year old keg they brought to FW (which was also delicious). They do not growler fill it, unfortunately, but I've heard the same rumor above that if you know someone, anything is possible. If you go up, make sure you try a little with both the raspberry and woodruff syrups.
For those in the Los Angeles area, Tartare has been on tap at Tony's Darts for the past couple weeks. Looks like it's still on. ...So good!
not to be 'that guy' but lactic acid is a weak acid and compared to the PH of your stomach it would still be lower and dilute the strong acid solution in your stomach. even if it was causing the PH to increase your body has the ability to regulate the acidity of your stomach fluids.
Yeah and they are very weird about their bathrooms....The day my mom died last September I went in to get a beer but needed to use the head first....immediately i hear "Restrooms are for customers only!" I'm a customer and I will order something jesus.......so i had an 8$/10 oz Dorado and bolted....that owner can go to hell /Rant off
