A buddy and I were on the topic of finding that everyday beer. The beer that's easy to find, cheap, great tasting, and maybe most important drinkable. I've always wanted that beer that was always known to be in my fridge. If you came over you could always go grab one. In our discussions I think, being from Michigan, I'm considering Bell's Two Hearted, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, or Founders All Day IPA. Leaning towards All Day actually. Very balanced, nice hop and citrus flavors, and lowest ABV. Also coming in 12 packs and cans in case I want to mix it up.

I thought it was a good topic and was wondering everyone's thoughts. Lets hear those local brews.

Two Hearted is my favorite beer in the world. However, I don't think of it as an everyday beer, too strong to drink more than six and hold a conversation with any grace. SNPA in a can is the perfect party beer and I could sip it for a nightcap on a Tuesday as well. Of course everything is subjective and I've talked an ear or two off while drinking Two Hearted numbers 7, 8 and 9 ;-)

    Cheers!!

I might be compelled to say Dale's as well, if only it was distributed into Southern Indiana! I'm counting on this Oskar Blues East Coast expansion to quench that thirst next year...?

Nicely said. I actually rated Two Hearted higher than my other 2 candidates but the ABV and the overall intensity of the beer knocked it out of the competition. Good call on the SNPA.

It just might be! This year actually is the first year of Oskar Blues being in Michigan!

Smutty Finest Kind will always have a spot in my fridge. Dale's is probably second on the list.

All Day is about $11.99 plus tax in nj. That's not an everyday beer due to founder's expectations on cost. Crazy they charge more for All Day than 8% sixer of Dirty Bastard (10.99).
Dogtown and bitter American seem cheap and tasty enough.

Honestly, Peeb's. PBR gets me a 12 pack for 7 bucks around here. I'll drink that all day and maintain a decent buzz for cheap any day of the week.

Sierra Nevada's Torpedo is the definition of an every day beer for me.

Wouldn't touch All Day with a 10 foot pole. Stuff sucks and is overpriced too

SNPA is fine, and Founder's All-Day is fantastic IMO because it's easily the lightest 4.7% ABV you'll ever fine ... I swear I could drink a case of that stuff and still be able to spell my name. BAs are right: It's not cheap. $9.99 a 6-pack here in my perch in Texas.

For me, there's no question what my No. 1 everyday beer is. And my great hope is that Karbach never messes with the recipe because it's a fantastic combination of hop bite and sweet malt.
