Helpful Beer Tips

    Anything goes, small or large, if you find it useful post it.

    Something small that I see often overlooked...when you get a growler fill make sure the cap is tight. Many times the caps have been barely tightened.

    Have a bottle opener as a keychain. I've gone to too many places with my own 6-pack only to discover that the residents don't have a bottle opener since they only drink canned BMC. I'm not the type to bring my own glass or anything, but having my own bottle opener on hand has saved my ass numerous times.

    Don't drink your stouts straight out of the fridge. When I learned that they should warm a bit, it really made a big difference in aroma and flavor.

    Don't pour the entire bottle in a glass. Pour little to make it easier to swish the beer. This will let you get a stronger better smell and flavoring

    Hide at least 50% of the beer you buy from your wife. What they don't know won't hurt them.

    Check the bottle dates on hop forward beers like IPAs, after ~8-10 weeks most of these beers will lose most of their aroma and flavor.
