Because bottle release day, which was well publicized, was Saturday.

I'm not sure what the big stink is here. The bottle limits were made know early. There was a little left over the next day, so they just let whomever wanted it have some until it was gone. Folks are upset that there was a 2 bottle limit on Saturday and no limit for the few bottles left on Sunday? Would you rather they did a 2 bottle limit on Sunday as well? I don't get it.

If you went to Solstice this weekend with the primary goal of getting bottles, you were probably doing it wrong. This was pretty clearly a party designed to showcase a lot of beers that were draft only. Bottles were secondary.

Had a blast on Friday, the sours especially were especially good. TRIPA is really just DRIPA++, though I really think the published ABV was a bit on the low side (seemed like a lot more than 11.25%).

In fact, it was a great weekend all together as I hit Founders Friday night, and my buddy brought me some FW Double Jack and a few brews from 3F yesterday.

Yawn. We've been down this road already.
I understand the publication of releases. I read it.
No big stink unless you are leaving Kuhnhenn unsatisfied. Not sure how that can EVER happen, but I'm sure there were a few who made substantial efforts who may be scratching their heads.

For the record, I went Friday knowing I couldn't get bottles. Awesome time.

Every time I go to Kuhnhenn I leave the happiest man alive regardless of what I leave with. One growler of DRIPA to drink and another to pour all over my body after I mow the lawn.

My biggest complaint wasn't even the beer limit, it was the fact that they ran out of the meads so early. Raspberry Braggot had a limit of 4 on the order form which I understand got switched to 2 limit but I was 73 in line and it was gone. I find highly unlikely every single person in front of me ordered two bottles at $20 a piece so what did they have, 100 bottles? Less? If you know you have the little and are worried about "more people" getting some, why not limit one? Or not even put it on the form at all. I feel like they are trying but still don't have this release thing figured out. Sure they sell their stuff, so maybe that's all that matters.

Other than that, great time Saturday. DWIPA was great, along with 2010 Extraneous. I love this place and I will keep giving them lots of my money, just wish they could figure these releases out a little better. Side note: At least it wasn't the clusterhump that Eisbock release was.

It was actually two guys that brought the HF stuff. Their names were Kyle and Jim and they also brought a Ephraim. They were passing it around like it was a shelf turd, awesome guys.

Dammit! I saw all the bottles on my way in. I asked on here last week if anyone was bringing bottles for the line and everyone either said, "No" or "People line up for this?". Lesson learned...

I was in the same boat. Didn't bring anything to share and didn't bring a glass because I was told there wouldn't be any there. Another fella by the name of John was there with his wife. They shared a glass and a bunch of stuff. John had a PseudoSue, BCBCS amongst other things. I felt like a jackass that I didn't bring anything, but even still they all were more than generous.

Sorry I don't mean to rub it in, but damn they had some great stuff

    From their Facebook

"All leftover orders have been put back into inventory, first come first served.
We are out of BB4D, but do have a decent amount of TRIPA and Dark Heathen, as well as a small amount of Sol Invictus. Come n get it, no limit."
