Black Magick (PVW) What does it take?

    Just looking for a little bit of help getting an understanding of what this beer commands. I've always been interested in trying to trade for a botlle to share w/ the tasting group, but have no clue what it would take and dont wanna get a ISO:FT post blown to pieces with threadshitting and such. Any info/help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Its not easy.

    I tried to get 2x PVW black magick for a Rare and had no bites. (I would still make that trade)

    Takes a good bit and getting harder. Had to trade for full sets to get 1 pvw in the last 2 trades I made for it.

    Damn. Thanks for the info. I know its going to be a tough one to get, just didnt know tough. That gives me an idea on what to expect.

    I hope you really like your tasting group, because about a half sip in you're going to want to trade for another bottle :wink:

    (Wish I had one for you, missed both Voodoo releases, and haven't tried to ISO them)

    PVW Black Magick was very, very good. But Rare > PVW BM... just an opinion but...yeah

    seems there are a lot of pappy bm vs rare comparisions. ppl falling on both sides. i had both within a month or so of each other adn both are amazing but i think id lean more towards the black magick (i think)

    I think Rare was better than Pappy BM is now, but it's not better anymore. Just my two cents.

    Either way. If we are arguing if its better or worse than Rare, its worth seeking out. That we can agree on.

    The only deal I personally know of getting done on here (not me) was Pappy BM and Buffalo Trace BM for a Chocolate Rain. Sounds like you just need to find the right person.

    I think PVW BM should be trading trading 1:1 for Kentucky Brunch. They are both very limited 12oz bottles. And both equally good. I really wish it didnt, only cause i want moooaaarrr. Personally I liked PVW better but who am I.

    I thought the 2008 BCBS was in decline, if this is so then logic says Rare is also on the decline. This info from multiple BA's who did verticals. So drink it or trade it away.
