    Hey Friends,

Headed to San Antonio from Fort Worth for the weekend for a wedding. Looking to pick up some brews while I'm in the area. What beer store has the best selection? Also, is Karbach available in San Antonio?

And, yes.... I'm going to Freetail on Friday afternoon!

    Thanks!

I really like the Gabriels on 1604.

Karbach is not in SA at the moment but will be having some tap takovers with in the coming weeks before they officially arrive in October I believe. As for beer stores I would recommend Gabriels at The Vineyard since you will already be in the area and it's near Freetail.

Not saying you would but for your own safety I wouldn't eve use B and A in the same word while at the Friendly Spot and don't forget to "be friendly" while you're there.

If you're not following the jokes, the Friendly Spot has been "in the news" around this forum lately for not advertising their prices properly and charging exorbitant mark-ups on "rare" beers, so just make sure to ask the price of anything there before you commit to it, because they will not tell you up front.

Check out Big Hops Growler Station on Broadway just inside 410.

The OPs name doesn't look familiar, so he's probably not in on the joke. BB3 is like $15 bro, make sure you ask prices before you order.

Specs Live Oak is also a good spot. Whatever you're not gonna find at Gabriel's, you'll be able to get at Specs.

I like the Branchline beers out of SA. I'd give those a go if you can find them.

I think you meant to quote the OP and not me, but either way I have been around long enough to know what's going on in SA and know all the inside information about said spot.

Definitely check out Big Hops if you're looking to sit down and have a few pints or get a growler. They have some bottles as well. Gabriel's on 1604 and Blanco is a good stop, but I've had more luck at the Specs at I10/DeZavala lately for new releases and harder to find beer. Usually have to ask what's in the back.

Pfft. It's not hot enough to even bother with trunk aged beers. Noob.

Does Gabriels have any trunk-aged Rose de Gambrinus left?

I heard they got an exclusive distributorship with Russian River and they'll be carrying them very soon!

    (old jokes are old )

Gabriel's DOES seem to have a good selection of Jester King whenever I'm down there.
