I found this in the latest release of the Beer Advocate magazine. I collect all sorts of wine corkscrews and have begun checking out beer openers. This one really intrigued me. Its from Westmark a Flaschenoffner / verschileBer/Hermnetuse Bottle Opener and Sealer.. Made in Germany and only they could have thought this one out. Just received my 5 of these, brought them into work. Easy to open any bottle of beer, it was easy to seal it. The seal was tight, upside, sidewarys, no leakage and the carbonation staid This is what it looks like (and for $7, its great!)
but then i dont have an excuse to drink the whole bomber so um shhh but i dont think it would be the same re sealed like growlers. time is of the essence
I put the original cap back on and bang on it with the regular bottle opener I have. Beer still has carb the next day.
New? They date back to the pre-Prohibition era. (There are versions that have a patent date of 1904. The "crown cork" cap itself only dates from the 1890's),
I ordered them from KAUFMANN MERCANTILE IN At that time I placed the order, they were out of stock. But two weeks ago, I received 6 of them. Love them
