CCB being pulled from Shelves?

Ummm..... Which ABC?

 

I called a couple of dozen stores here in south FL and was able to get 3 bottles, one each from three different stores. It wasn't til I made the 3 1/2 hour drive to Tampa was I able to get more. I'm just anxious for CCB to get the distribution issues resolved. I know you guys are working on it. I LOVE CCB, but when my local Total Wine is doing a 1 bottle limit on 12oz'ers of Tocobaga it's frustrating.

 

I'm well aware and am spreading the word. Gene and I communicated earlier this week and have worked out an arrangement. Here's the thread if anyone doesn't know what Lucho and I are talking about. Lots of ways you can help. Please check it out!! And who knows, you might be drinking a Brandy BA Hunahpu as a result. Not kidding.

The one on sunrise across the street of the husttler store in fort lauderdale, it sat there at least a week or two.

As much as I love NC, there are definitely times I miss FL

 

CCB has been great to me so this isnt a bash on them. But when Bells could not meet the demand for Oberon, they shut everything else down for a month and just made Oberon. Maybe this is what CCB needs to do Shut everything down and just make Jai Alai for 1 month. then they will have hopefully caught up and they can start making all the other stuff.

They make great beer but the variations sometimes just dont make sense.

 

As someone that has struck-out on Jai Alai the last 2 times I was in Jacksonville, I approve of this message.

However, it's hard to tell that to CCB since their variations are so damn good.

NO they just did it to catch up on the Oberon for a month, and it worked. That is all i was saying.
Hell no I want those other beers as well. But if you sell x amount of beer A and XXXXX amount of Jai Alai, mayby dont make beer A for a little while so you can catch up with Jai Alai. that is all I was saying.

yeah i get that but i think it sets a dangerous precedent. we don't want to stop brewing anything we really like. it's kinda what the whole brewery was founded on. "we brew the beer we like to drink."

 

Zhukov is still on shelves in North Florida at some stores but few and far between. As for a store getting a case of zhukov last week... I call bs. Not that your friend lied but that sounds unlikely and a result of the store confusing it for something else.

 

It does suck when I go to all these stores in South FL that used to always have Jai Alai and now they have Maduro, FL Cracker & Helles sitting there but they never have Jai Alai anymore. I guess some stores are getting some but not very much and it's gone quick if they do. Don't get me wrong, I like those other beers too, but it's obvious the demand for Jai Alai is 10 times that of the other main CCB beers.

 

as much as I like Jai Alai, I would not want them to shut down other stuff to focus on JA alone. They make such great seasonals, delaying those would suck. We wait so long for them to come out in the first place. I'm glad the demand is high. It will force their hand to expand production eventually, but hopefully not at the cost of other items they sell b/c those sell pretty well too. How much positive did all this BA Huna rage cause across the country. Their name is getting more and more common, and Jai Alai is only part of that reason why.

Love me some Good Gourd and Marshal Zhukov.

But if a seasonal has to suffer, they can take Cuc Saison ;-)
