    And I'm not saying either that it couldn't have happened to me - I'm pretty trusting.

    Definitely did not expect the Chocolate Rain or ask for it, he just offered to send me one. He said he had ordered some and was wondering if I wanted one, to which of course I said yes. He had already received my box when he made that offer so either he appreciated me sending him beers that aren't distributed outside of Wisconsin/Minnesota and/or was just being nice.

    I should also add to this story by saying he won a LIF I ran, to thank me for what I sent in the LIF (who does that?) he sent me an Oude Tart from The Breury and a Lost Abbey Saison. So then I thought, hey this guy seems cool maybe we should do a trade.

    $4$ was not really my concern, as franklinn stated people trade up and down for money and rarity all the time. but i guess if we calculated $4$, we'd be about equal if i took into account the unsolicited thank you beers that were not part of the trade. i was more bummed because he left me hanging on his half of the trade and i was hoping he would be a regular trading partner.

    If there is any silver lining in this whole situation, it's the fact that you don't have to worry about this guy being a 'regular' trading partner of yours.

    I'd swap boxes with you like Alex and Wanda Sykes, but I don't have walez-bro-ette, and not sure what distro is unique to us.....

    I think by now you should take cbeer's advice and report him to the bad traders list. You've been more than patient with him. And if we're lucky, you might end up getting your beer.

    And...I got a message from him today saying that he still wants to send me a box. And apologizing for the lack of communication so we will see what happens, I'll keep you all up to date.

    Maybe the red flag was a guy giving up CR so easily, still hindsight, but it's sad guys steal
    beer. I really think its pathetic in an environment where we're all blindly trusting to a great degree. If I get a little spooked ill just pass especially if initial communication isn't good. It won't get better when he gets your beer that's for sure .

    Latest update...he sent me a list of what's in his cellar on June 15th and I sent him a list of a few things I'd be interested based on his list on June 16th. I told him I didn't want him to send me more than one of them. To date, according to BA, he hasn't been on to read my message. At this rate, I'll have moved to Utah by the time my box is sent to Kansas.

    I have no idea why people like this do not get the boot from BA.

    Threadshitters get timeouts or booted, but people who rob people of ACTUAL $ fair much easier.

    They might get called out and some of those actually get the gift of all details being deleted if someone God forbid invades THEIR privacy.

    I think much of the threadshitting and wall-streeting in these forums would go away if questionable traders were treated like harmless threadshitters.

    Does anyone actually know that BA SGToliver ripped someone off very recently and that you should avoid him?

    The thread about him vanished, if you did not see it, you can't search for it....
