    Sipping on my first Pliny out by the pool. Amazing stuff, really clean and bright hop profile. Not the hop explosion I was expecting, just amazingly balanced.

    A dark lager from Brauhaus Riegele in Augsburg. The first time I'm trying this one. Very sweetish, malty, kind of roasty.

    Oh man, it's too hot for some of those big malty beers some of you are drinking today. Last Sunday I sheepishly posted I was drinking --gasp!!-- Budweiser and Molson Canadian. Today, I've taken a step backwards by drinking Eggenberg's Urbock 23 and their Doppelbock Dunkel.

    I've got a 4 pack of Twice as Mad as Tom Double IPA and Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale in the fridge. I hope they both redeem me for these other two horrible beers.
