Hey guys, I recently tried Cafe Royale from Wlliamburg at a bottle share and it kind of blew me away. I now find myself reminiscing about this beer like its a former lover, I need to find some. Can anybody give me an idea of its rarity/availability ? I'd like to post an ISO but dont want to look bad in what I offer
I got two bottles of it in a recent trade, traded it for similarly priced limited shelf beers from the midwest, super excited to drink it now!
When I bought this about a month ago the store had cases of it at $6.99 a bottle. It tastes way better than $6.99. I bought six. I was just visiting VA, so I have no idea of the extent to which it was distributed.
It's usually 8.99-9.99 a bottle. Geoff tries to make it quarterly, but currently bourbon barrel porter is in barrels and will be bottled later this summer, during which time cafe royale will go into barrels. Expect the next release in late fall or early winter I assume. Alewerks is pretty small so the batches arent that big. That said, when available CR is usually on shelves for a couple weeks. I usually send it as extras, and if my last two werent promised to trade partners, Id hook you up. Other limited seaonals will get it done though.
