I'm flattered than you think so highly of me as a trader as to be on the lookout or my ISOs.

I think the hype train will be moving fast enough without your shoveling coal into the furnace, you can cut it out now.

it looks like the boards are kinda one-uppin' each other before someone even takes a trade. Shit's gonna get crazy, plus the roughly 40 cases per. I put up a 4 pack of kbs up there before knowing bottle count, but theres no way thats happening

You're absolutely right. I don't need to feed this hype train and I am honestly not attempting to do that. I am just curious as to what the market will look like for these. I'm excited to try them and excited to see what I may be able to trade for them. Simple as that.

No, I COMPLETELY agree with you. This thread was just for kicks and I got the joke.

For the sake of the others reading this thread...
I was laughing at the humorous juxtaposition of a good, fair, trader such as yourself posting a thread wondering what the near future rar. beer might go for, and then in that same thread pointing out that the offers out there so far are no good.

Obviously a trader not trying to win would not normally be doing that.

I see offers of BA Alesmith beers, BA Three Floyds beers, the Voodo varieties, etc. which would seem fair to me if I had some of these Mexican Cake varieties.

Oh and extra credit for using the word "market" now too. ↑

    Keep up the good work!

Wow, so this is what happens when you are curious about trade value of an upcoming release? Guess I will get my info the old fashioned way by discussing with friends and just reading the ISO FT list.

I'd pour one out for my homies. but certainly wouldn't trade for one from OP.

If I were to play Dr. Phil, I'd break it down as follows as to why you got reamed with this thread:

    You posted a legitimate question...
but coming from someone who plans to attend the release, I can see how some would interpret this as fishing or pre-release hyping.

Then you go on to threadshit people's pretrade offers for a bottle(s) that will soon come into your possession and say they're nearly not good enough...
then you go on to answer your own question in starting this thread, knowing the answer the whole time.
So why start this thread? You sort of buried yourself.

There, thesis completed. I am now a full-fledged psychologist.

This mindset is why the beer trading community can't have nice things. You're not maximizing your profit margin for the benefit of your shareholders, you're drinking yeast vomit out of a glass tube with a pretty picture on the side. Stop taking it so srs.

I prefer to think of it as yeast shit, but to each their own.

For some reason I have no desire to drink any of these. I know people will probably say I'm missing out but something about the name angers me.

It seems like we have come to the point in beer trading where EVERYONE is trying to predict what the next KBBS or BA Abraxas are and trade stupid shit for beers that no one has even tasted before just in case it becomes the next Mega Super awesome 3 day old wale.

Its stupid and I'm over it. When I hear if these beers actually taste good, maybe I'll try and trade for them.

It's a self-screwing auction for the pre-trades right now... people aren't seeing trades get done so they are upping the offer just because nobody actually has the beer yet so no one's trading it. People will be trading their world-class beer for these bottles before anyone has even tried it!

Am i curious? sure. Would i like to trade for a set? absolutely. But this is nuts guys, no one's got the bottles and no one's even tried it yet....

The problem is that homerism is so rampant these days that you know it's going to get perfect 5's from all the guys who get it first. That and the shitstorm surrounding it means everyone is going to give up great shit to get it, and because they paid a high price they're going to rate it highly too. It doesn't matter how good the beer is anymore, homerism is the dominant factor in ratings.
