If you could only enjoy beer from 2 states, which would they be, why, and what states just miss the cut?

For me, Michigan and California would make the list. Michigan beats Illinois with KBS>BCBS; Plus Two Hearted+Hopslam > any other IPA combo. California for the vast amount of standout breweries. Just missing the cut is Indiana - 3F is hard to turn your head away from (not to mention Daredevil for anyone who's been able to try) . Crossing my mind is Colorado and Oregon, they just don't have the stand outs in my mind vs MI and CA.

CA. & CO. for me. Variety and overall selection makes it an easy choice.

    <---------Illinois - #1 (for my winter brews)
For summer, I'm torn. Ohio? I think I could live off of Columbus IPA.

But then sucks will be available year round soon, so Cali?

Then again, I am a diehard NY'er... and I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I drank over 100 cans of resin this year.

haha! When boiling it down, I agree, yet think it's crazy that 1 beer (or line of beers in BCBS) can carry the weight of a state. I almost let BCBS take IL over MI, but there's too much in MI that lifts over BCBS. Can't believe I'm talking BCBS down... ech

I hate to admit it, but beyond their specialty releases (ex. cherry rye), it's really big john. Man that's good shit. GI just makes wildly tasty stouts.

and honestly, I'm ready to name CA just for sucks.

I got MA, PA, CA, MI and CO as the top five. Culling it beyond that is tough. If pushed, I'd go down to MA and MI, but for completely different reasons. But I could swap any of the other three in and out quite easily, except for picking CO and PA together. People forget about PA beer too easily.

CA and TX, CA is the obvious choice and call me a homer, but there is more in TX than most know.......

    One from: CA, OR, CO
One from : TX, MI, OH, NY

So much good craft from small breweries, it wouldn't be hard to cover most styles with one pick from each group.

I agree with GI Stouts - crazy good.

It looks as if CA is a familiar top choice, along with MI. Also getting votes thus far IL, CO, VT, CT, MN, Mississippi(whatever the Hell their acronym is), and ND. However Mississippi and ND, seriously?
