Yup and nope. I wouldn't say this year, they are looking at another property to expand as mentioned in the Treehouse thread.

What is disappointing about hanging out at a great place, not waiting in a line. If you bring friends and food the time flies by. Also they make other great beers other than Julius, go on a non-Julius day and you will be in and out in no time.

If people are coming to them for Julius then no need to get into a shitty distribution contract, just follow the heady model.

Didn't Ben used to work at Wachusett? I've often thought they should ship them a bunch of Be Hoppy and get it done!

I bought some Hop Notch IPA cans last week; agree having a local option like this would be nice. I loved the Hop Notch btw, my choice for a canned IPA for now

You win some, you lose some. Some stores turn it over far more quickly than others.

Larry in tall boys - dreams.

They had a wonderful ESB on my first of two visits this past fall. I'd love to see them brew it again, but the name escapes me.

16oz pounders mean less leaning over the side of my beach chair and unzipping the cooler

Meadowlark will be year round once it hits the shelves next week. That and Be Hoppy make two world-class examples brewed right here in MA.

    Couple of thoughts.

NBPT Green Head is a pretty decent ipa - reminded me of OB Gordon when it first came out. Distribution is supposed to go statewide soon, no?

Thoroughly impressed with Backlash Catalyst DIPA that I had on tap recently. Renewed my faith that a MA brewer can actually make a hop bomb that wasn't too caramelly and was devoid of unpleasant flavors from the hops themeselves.

50+ ipa's that beat hoponius? I once gathered together a list of almost 100 ipa's available in MA and only came up with 10 out of those that I would be willing to purchase.

Good news for the few times I go out for a beer, but @ about $4 per serving retail, not a beer I will be buying on the regular.

That label is wrong...ABV is 7.2% now.

That said, my 3rd take on this beer over the weekend was much better than my 1st two tries early on. Perhaps a re-formulation? But, it's still not a west coast style, too resin-y & not enough citrus to be considered one. Solid drinker though. Wish they offered a 12 pack, would drink more often.

Yeah well they can't all be Heady/Hill Farmstead/whatever. Its a great offering for a "usually" readily available IPA. Beats the pants off anything else in the area in that format for that price.
