It is not a Quality Control issue... It comes out of the brewery tasting world class and then develops a infection. They can not know that without not releasing it for a long time after it is bottled and seeing if it develops an infection.

Ommegang Abbey (their dubbel). Had it multiple times, could never finish it. I love dubbels, I thoroughly enjoy all other Ommegang beers that I have had (still a few in cellar that I haven't had yet, though), but can't find it in myself to like this one.

Triple Bock by Sam Adams was horrible, in my opinion. So disappointing...

Infections don't just happen, a culture from a sample taken to a lab would show what's growing in the beer.
And I'm gonna go with tree shaker DIPA from Odell. It could have been so much better.

Fool me once, shame on you, right?

It became a QC issue when it happened for a second year in a row.

I feel that way with a lot of the Sierra Nevada collabs. I had much higher expectations for rhizing bines, brux, and terra incognita when you factor in the caliber of breweries involved with these beers.
