I caught a commercial for it last night on G4 which I believe is changing to Esquire Channel. I'll definitely check it out when it airs if we are going to be able to get that channel.

So many mixed feelings over this one. Pretty awesome craft beer is going to get some attention. Pretty awful that it will more than likely be bastardized and dramatized by a capitalist agenda. Pretty awesome that more people will be exposed to brewing. Pretty awful that it will ultimately bring what the kids now a days call "posers". Pretty awesome that one could take the time to converse and possibly educate said posers, maybe even learn a thing here or there. Pretty awful that companies might simply try to appeal to the new influx of interested people and sacrifice quality for quantity.

Well said. Hopefully the show is done in a quirky way (which it seems to be judging by the site write ups) so it will not interest the mainstream viewer.

Brewdog need to get back to making beer and stop all this bs... In the UK they aim for the poser aka hipsters with their bars!

They were at Victory a few days ago filming....thought about heading over there and maybe getting some camera time but I didn't feel like making the 10 minute drive over.

Unfortunately, in this world, we have been forced to take the bad with the good in the name of the almighty dollar.

The thing is, as much as I and most other uk posters on this site dislike their cynical and childish marketing bollocks, their bars almost always improve the beer scene in whatever city they pop up in. I only go into their glasgow one during the day when it's dead for a quiet drink, can't fault the selection really for the type of bar it is. I imagine it's chock full of tossers on a Friday night, but I can't say I've ever gone then

I might be on it for a split second. They filmed at City Beer Store for their San Francisco episode.

It might be like Anthony Bourdain's show since they were including other local restaurants in the area. Lot of interviewing of customers too.

I was there just right before when they were setting up lights and what not. I didn't feel like staying around. Just grabbed my full growler and left..

My brother in law is the head story producer for the show. They're doing some ridiculous brewing stuff on it, plus some good craft breweries signed on for episodes, so it should at the very least be an interesting watch.

Regardless of my opinion of their beers their promotional rhetoric of Brewdog has become unbearable to me. They have been spouting the exact same nonsense for years now. They sounds like a broken record. Doubt that I can bear to hear another catchphrase coming from the mouth of one of these guys ever again. I still buy one of their beers from time to time granted that is not insultingly overprized which hasn’t happened in a year now I think. 5 A.M. Saint is a wonderful session beer, it must be said. All of this will probably make this television show unwatchable for me, some of their online sketches used to be fun. Overall they are less pleasant than the big breweries they & people on here like to ridicule.

Same goes Greg Koch – possibly the most boring guy in craft brewing – complete cartoon character.

It’s very sad that excellent American breweries are lending credibility to this bunch of charlatans.

My problem is... I've never though much to their marketing, I believe good beer speaks for itself it doesn't need dead animals and tanks rolling down the street! However I did like their bars initially they were bring in some amazing stuff at amazing prices compared to that of others because of their bulk buying. But over the last year the prices of not only their beer but their import are rocketing! £10.50 ($16) for a Ten Fidy can is pure greed!

I also worked for them for a while in Birmingham mainly due to I was broke with a baby on the way so money was money and I was offered the job over twitter lol I only stayed for 3 months cause not being into Brewdog anyway, it was like team Brewdog fuck yeah and the customers coming in were total tossers people who don't like beer but there cause its the new in thing!

Main thing I learnt was James Watt is in it for the money he visited once and didn't even speak to anyone just ignored us! He just cares about wastage bring in more customers and publicity

I've met James and Martin on several occasions. Each time they have come across as genuinely nice people with a passion for craft beer. No negatives at all.

Any clue how City Beer gets around the licensing issue of allowing customers to drink beer on premises that is usually meant for offsite consumption? Maybe they changed the laws or it's a quirky loophole, like an importer's license?

There's a place in Brooklyn that does this too

We were at the taping when they debuted the collab with Oskar Blues.
They are some pretty funny guys. Their story on how they made it is pretty fantastic, the beer itself was pretty good.
