I wonder how long until we see it over by Cedar Rapids?

I'm going to preface this saying that this is a huge rumor and to take it for what it's worth....

... but, the Pleasant Hill HyVee tweeted pictures of Moon Man & Totally Naked saying that they say were dropped off by their vendor today and that they say we may be drinking New Glarus beers here " by the time the snow falls."

I really hope that isn't just some shitty joke. I know both the manager and assistant manager at the PHill HyVee pretty well though and don't think they'd tweet that if bullshit. NG in Iowa would be boner-inducing.

no chance of new glarus being distributed in Iowa. I jokingly asked Deb a month ago and she gave me a very stern look and replied "never."

One reason I'm glad we go back to northern Illinois 5-6 times a year...easy access to NG. Their TP Berliner Weisse is amazing!! And easily the best fruit beer available.

Their Berliner Weisse is indeed amazing, but it has no fruit in it.

LOL, I mean NG has the best fruit beers available, not that the BW is an amazing fruit beer. Their Thumprint IIPA was quite nice as well.

I apparently need to sit down with a bunch of New Glarus. I've had several. Like Moon Man, love Black Top. The rest, meh. I'm clearly missing something.

...by the time the snow falls. In hell?

That would be awesome, though. I'm rooting for you, Iowa.

Abu Nawas' updated their Facebook saying they received some limited beers from Prairie Ales and a few other breweries. I'm really hoping they got some Bomb! and Prairie Noir...ugh.

Has anybody else had a chance to try the Backpocket Anniversary Ale? Surprised the crap out of me...so good. When I asked about bottling they said they were waiting on label approval, that was two weeks ago or so.

I thought it was pretty solid. Wasn't ground breaking by any means but it was a really nice imperial stout.

Yeah....I had it at the Iowa Craft Beer Fest a few weeks ago. Definitely a beer I would drink regularly if bottled.

has anyone seen TG Bottles (besides Dorthy's Lager) in Mason City? I'm stuck here for work and would love to bring some back if they are anywhere. The best selection I've found here is at a Hy-Vee on 4th and it is rather out0of-date on most products.
