A well-made Pilsner is indeed a beer of beauty.

Lots of good beers already listed but below are my lists:

    Bottled/Canned Pilsners

    Victory Prima Pils

Troegs Sunshine Pils (this year’s version is extra good)

    Sly Fox Pikeland Pils

    Stoudt’s Pils

Southampton Keller Pils (brewed by Susquehanna Brewing)

    Trumer Pils

    Urban Chestnut Zwickel

    Draft Only

    Victory Braumeister series of Pilsners

    Sly Fox Standard Pils

    Sly Fox Keller Pils

    Neshaminy Creek Trauger Pils

    Victory Hip Czech

    Victory CBS Tettnang Pils

    Manayunk Bill’s Pils

    Cheers!

Always good to give lagers more recognition.
For clarification though, pilsners are part of the lager kingdom of beer. Referring to pilsners and lagers is like saying porters and ales.

I really love a good pils. Almost as much as some bigger styles like IPAs or imperial stouts. I definitely feel like they don't get the credit they deserve. I'm lucky to live in PA, which has quite a few great pilsners from local brewers.

    Trumer Pils is no joke

I'm a fan of Oskar Blues Mama's lil Yella Pils

As for German examples, Radeberger is divine on tap and Konig Pilsener is very good as well.

Ayinger Munich Dunkel is also a very good beer.

    Where'd my post go!?

Anyway, I'm surprised no one's mentioned Sam Adams Boston Lager yet.

I have tried the Torch Pilsner on a few occasions and for some reason I just can't get into it, alot of people around here seem to really like it, I just don't seem to be one of them. As for local lagers, I will go with Olde Mecklenburg any day

I started trying more lagers several years ago when it dawned on me that I'd been drinking ales pretty much exclusively for a long time. A lot of good ones have been listed here, as well as some I'm now inclined to look for.

I was pleased to find that this year's version of Pretty Things' summer lager, American Darling, was unimperialized, dialed back from 7% to 5-point-something% abv. The bigger version was good but a bit more than I wanted from a summer lager, but this year I've already gone through at least a half-dozen bottles with more on the horizon. Really satisfying.

Great list for PA brews. I also feel that Victory Lager is constantly overlooked especially in comparison w/Prima Pils.

Yup, Victory Lager does indeed get overlooked, even by me. I had my first Victory Lager in quite some time in the guise of an Alley Brewing Lager at a recent Phillies game. That beer was quite tasty. Another Helles that I neglected to add to my list is Sly Fox Golden Helles; that beer is a very tasty Helles IMHO. It is now available in cans (with the 360° opening).

There is a recent discussion on Alley Brewing Lager (Victory Lager) here:http://beeradvocate.com/community/threads/victory-alley-brewing-co-lager.102095/

    Cheers!

    My two cents......all lager styles
DAB, can't beat it for the price
    yes Victory
    Lagunitas Chech
    Surly Helles
    Lakefront Oktoberfest
    too many dopplebocks to mention
    Capitol Lake House
    ST Eurotrash pils
toppling goliath dorhty (really, California common. Fermented with lager yeast though)
meh, the list goes on. Used to hate the stuff till I just burnt out on hop bombs and stouts blacker than my soul. Now really refreshing. But I still drink a PBR now and then. Take it as it is

I did some experimenting over the 4th to take a break from IPA's. The couple that I tried and liked. Nothing special, just very drinkable alternates to macros:

    Kona Longboard Lager (cans)
Ballast Point Pale (cans, and it's actually a Kolsch, and more flavorful than their Longfin Lager IMHO)
Full Sail Session Lager (the bottles alone are fun for the Lucky Lager vibe)

Good point about these styles being underrepresented by American craft brewers. When I do try them, I tend to be underwhelmed. Maybe that's part of the issue, that it's difficult to make an standout specimen in this easy-going category? Accordingly, some of the better mass-market imports hold their own here. Been a long time since I've seen DAB, but I loved it back before craft beer was widely available, so bit +1 on that. Stella Artois won't impress beer snobs, but it's a good, widely-available option for lighter fare, especially if I want cans and it's on deal, as it's otherwise a hair overpriced.

Just had Pontius Road Pilsner from Short's and thought it was very very good. In my mind better than prima pils
