3rd release. First was the Black IPA (not canned, I don't think), second was the DIPA, I think third will be the "Half IPA." Which will be bad ass.

About twice as much cans this time; plus a decent amount on draft as well. Very happy with how this one turned out.

I've been somewhat out of the loop/haven't purchased beer in a local store in months, but are y'all distributing to Houston, or have plans to?

There might still be some Black Thunder at Specs, but that is it. There is also a certain beer bar in Houston that keeps being mentioned for ABW releases...

I have hopes that they're altering their schwarzbier recipe a bit to be a little more traditional. I had the opportunity to judge a homebrew schwarzbier during a competition last year. It was so impressive I gave it an 18/20. Every judge in my group gave it a near perfect or perfect score. I wish I could find out who brewed it. I'd pay them money. Hell I'd throw my money at any Texas brewer that makes a traditional schwarz. Does Live Oak?

Do these also have the RFID chip inside the cans that detonate when they leave the state? I'm thinking some trade partners would appreciate this but I'm not to keen to the idea of terroristic charges.

I don't put much stock on competitions, let alone BJCP. Though Live Oak Schwarz is the real deal. Like pretty much everything they do.

    Perfect.

But back on topic from my own digressment, I love Austin Beerworks. I haven't even gotten to try Pearl Snap. Seems to be rating pretty highly. I love a quality pils. Would love to feature a quality one for my beer education seminar I'm hosting next month

Can you use me as your dummy? "Here's what happens when you chug a Chocolate Rain."

But seriously, slap yourself for not having Pearl Snap. I'll bring you a 6pk next time I see you.

Pearl Snap, Hans Pilz, and Live Oak Pilz...I can put those three up against any made in this country, and be happy. I have traveled much of the world, but sadly not Germany/central Europe to try truly world class lagers:slight_frown:

Phil and I were talking loose plans on hitting up Belgium next year. Like early summer. See if you can plan something for then. Southwest BA trip!
